Acerca de esta actividad
09.00 AM, you will meet your guide at Skytrain BTS National Stadium station, exit number 3. Then you will be taken a local public boat to Wat Saket, popularly known as the Golden Mount is a low hill crowned with a gleaming gold chedi. Within, the 58-metre chedi houses a Buddha relic and welcomes worshippers all year round to see the birds-eye view of Bangkok. Continue to walk to Baan Bat or Monk's Bowl Village, the small village with an age-old crafting the bowls from raw steel using only their hands and a hammer. There is a valuable offbeat path discovery of Bangkok. Then we will walk to the Buddha Street, in the centre of old town. Explore the shops and you will find all sorts of curious things. For example, the laughing Buddha and Guan Yin from China, as well as replicas of images unique to Thailand such as the famous Emerald Buddha.
Last stop at a local cafe, have some coffee, tea, snack before leaving back to the meeting point by local public boat around noon.
Activities and Experiences:
• Golden Mount & Wat Saket
To the reach the top of the Golden Mount, you must ascend an exhausting 318 steps. On a clear day, the view from the top includes old Rattanakosin Island and the rooftops of Bangkok.
• Handmade Monk's Alm Bowl Community
Literally translated as ‘house of monk’s alms bowl’, Bann Bat is perhaps the last existing place in Bangkok that still hammers out – by hand. Nowadays less than five households continue to make a living selling their craft. The community originally fled war in Ayutthaya to take refuge in Bangkok and although the community has declined due to the introduction of factory produced Bat, there are still a small number of families making alms bowl in the traditional way.
• Buddha Street and Amulet Market
In the middle of Bangkok old town, there is the second oldest road of Bangkok call Bamrung Muang Road, every single business sells Monk's accessories such as the golden Buddha statues, yellow candles, monks’ supplies, and other religious items. Rather than the shops on street. There is a hidden amulet market in the temple where you can see and learn how is the belief of Buddhists.
Be Responsible:This program will encourage the visitor to be a Responsible Traveler. In the environmental aspect, we offer to use public transportation to reduce the carbon impact. In social impact, you will support
Baan Bat community to keep working in their own way of cultural conservation.

This was a really excellent tour of some of the older and less well known historical areas of Bangkok. Some of which are in very real danger of disappearing. If your interested in tourism that can actually help preserve ways of life rather than change or destroy them then this is the tour for you.
