Reúnase con su guía, quien le estará esperando con un paraguas de color naranja, fuera de la oficina de turismo en la Plaça de Catalunya. Aquí, subirá a bordo de un autobús con aire acondicionado para el viaje de 1 hora hasta Montserrat.
Viaje a través de los pueblos atravesados por el valle del río Llobregat (el segundo más largo de Cataluña) antes de llegar a Montserrat, una montaña famosa por sus altos picos que se elevan a una altura de 1235 metros (4051 pies).
A su llegada a Montserrat, se embarcará en una visita guiada a su monasterio, su basílica y su museo. A continuación, dispondrá de dos horas de tiempo libre para explorar Montserrat por su cuenta.
Puede optar por visitar la Basílica Real de Montserrat, conocida por su talla de la Virgen de Montserrat (la Virgen Negra), que data del siglo XII. Explore los senderos de la montaña, las escaleras, cuevas y ermitas, y visite el monasterio de Montserrat, con 1000 años de antigüedad. Después, vuelva a reunirse con su guía y grupo para el viaje de regreso a Barcelona. El conductor le llevará por una ruta alternativa para que pueda disfrutar de más paisajes y le entretendrá con música catalana tradicional.

We had a fast drive to and from the Mountain and the buildings were modern and are well taken care of by the keepers. There was a semi steep hill, but easy to walk. The history is interesting and our guide was great and very through of your knowledge of the surrounding areas and the religious history of the monastery as well as the monks and nuns, as well as the choir boys who stay there. I don't think I'd recommend for an active 15 yo boy as my grandson, he would have been great going, but kind of bored with the slowness of second half of the 1/2 day tour. They have a nice gift shop, as well as the cafeteria was good.

Tour should be timed wherein we can spend more than an hour enjoying Montserrat. Coach bus ride was good and enjoyable but I felt very rushed once we got to Montserrat.

Montserrat is a very beautiful place and this tour was a good way to see it. It's a bit of a drive up windy mountain roads to get there, but once there, it's one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Barcelona. It's definitely worth a visit.

This tour was the best part of my trip to Barcelona. The mountain has been a sacred sight since ancient times, and the Christian monastery/cathedral is a very holy place. The statue of our Blessed Mother and Infant is miraculous, and I was able to touch her and make my prayer request. I did not want to leave.

Well worth it. Fantastic views and place. You have ample time to visit and to see everything, including the church, the madonna. Guide was very good.

This would be a great tour just for the ride up to the monastery and the view once you get there. But there is so much more. The Church within the monastery is home to the Black Madonna and it is not to be missed. Located high above and behind the altar the trip to it is spectacular. We took the afternoon tour which was good because it was not crowded. It is not the best of times for the perfect photo but I will take less crowded every time. The guide was also excellent. There is a place to eat or drink on site but it closes before the afternoon tour is completed.
