Tour was very good and informational. The Parliament is absolutely beautiful and should be seen if your in Budapest. Our tour guide was very good and at the end of the tour answered any and alll questions
Excellent tour from start to finish including hotel pick-up. Parliament building was incredible and just plain HUGE. Tour covered much of the building and is certainly stunning in architecture as well as size. Should not be missed on a visit to Budapest.
The tour did not met our expectation. The tour is very rush and the tour guide is trying to complete the tour just briefly explaining each place that we visit.
Attila , our guide provided a good perspective of the history of the country with interesting titbits thrown in . His wry sense of humour added to the experience.
We had 'Mihaly' but he went by Mike. Not only was he endearing, funny, and informative, but most importantly, he directed us to a great restaurant after our tour for lunch. Lots of fun.
The tour started much earlier than expected. Cityrama left message with host of aparment as we arrived at Budapest midnight. The parliament house was splendid architecture with beautiful delicate craftsmanship. Everything was done in perfect order and the maintenance team does a splendid job to upkeep this building. Our guide for city tour was professional and matter of fact. We get to know Buda and Pest pretty well. It is a city easy to get around and we enjoy it.
We booked our tour well in advance of trip to Budapest and were told to be a particular hotel by 0915 to be picked up for the 10am tour. We arrived well ahead of time and waited and waited for the bus to arrive. A very helpful bus driver from a different tour company even called our tour company to find out what was taking so long. At first we were told the pickup time had changed to 0945 and when that time came and went and we called again, we were told that they had sent a cab to our Air B and B to pick us up rather than the hotel where the company had instructed us to go to for pickup. Then we were told we could take a cab at our expense to meet up with the tour group at Hero's Square if we wanted. By the time we arrived at the new pickup spot, it was almost 1100 and we had a lot of difficulty finding the bus because the tour company name was not on it and we were told it might be red, yellow or white. Once we did connect with the tour, our guide Attila was very nice and totally sympathetic to our frustration. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and did his best to get back on track after loosing time waiting for us to arrive.
We have taken hundreds of bus tours, This was the worst tour ever. Small bus, small windows, cramped seating and on a day where the temp. was 31C the Air Conditioning wasn’t working. The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Finally, we were simply told when we were given our tickets for the tour of Parliament, that the bus tour was over and we would have to find our own way to our hotels. We had to walk several hundred meters just to get to a street with taxis.
Enjoyed the trip overall with our wonderful guide. we got to get off and explore a couple of spots on the Buda side. On the Pest side it was really a drive through with a stop at the parliament building to join the guided parliament tour. It would have be good if the trip let us get off the bus to take pictures at Heroes square and let us go into Mathias church even if means adding another hour to the tour. We had to go back just to both these places on our own.
Great way to get the most information and sightseeing in Prague! . Great way to see more of Prague than just the Downtown area. Then the walking half of the tour starts at the Prague Castle. The castle itself and the views from the castle are amazing! You walk down into Prague and past many souvenir shops. You do get a stop at the Lennon Wall and walk across The Charles Bridge. The last stop is the Clock. Great Tour and great value! Very good toor, guide was excellent.
This tour was a Grayline tour. We went to the meeting point by taxi because they did not do a hotel pick up. Look for a Kiosk not an office. We drove around for 1.5 hours while the tour guide said things like this is big street, that is a square, and look at the river. At the first stop, she started to give historical facts about the Nazi and Communist occupation that were inaccurate and untrue. She said things about the Holocaust that were proven to be untrue. When confronted she became testy at best. The 45 minute tour of the Parliament was great! There may be a better way to see Budapest than by a big bus. Look for it.
