This concert was absolutely wonderful. The Orchestra was sensational. The Concert had everything from wonderful music, brilliant singers, a Gypsy Band, great dancers performing everything from a ballet to the Kan Kan. I loved every minute!! The reason this is not getting 5 stars is more so the organisation. As a VIP guest you are picked up at your hotel, are given a tour of the Palace the Danube on this occasion, a souvenir photo etc etc. I phoned earlier in the day and enquired about the pick up time and was informed that it would be between 7.00/7.30 p.m. ... at 6.30 p.m. reception called my room to let me know that there was a young lady waiting for me! Luckily I was ready to go. We arrived at the theatre at 6.50 p.m., the young lady Lorraine was very friendly, but God love her, she really did not know what to do with me for 1 hour and 10 minutes as the tour only lasted about 15 minutes! She did try her best and eventually brought me to my seat. She then came back up to me and told me that her colleague was ready to take my photo. I was taken downstairs, told by her colleague to stand over there and they took a photo!! It would have been so much better if the photo was taken upstairs where I was seated and if they had shown me the photo to see if I liked it, but anyway, that didn't happen and I was taken back up to the balcony. At half time Lorraine brought me up a glass of champagne and sat with me through the interval and we had a very pleasant chat. After the show Lorraine arrived to take me to my taxi, but there wasn't one there!! We stood out on the street, she did her best to get a taxi, after approx. 15 minutes she then phoned her boss! He eventually came down, said hello, didn't introduce himself, didn't apologise but spoke continuously on his phone!! Eventually taxi sorted I was seated and left a very embarrassed looking young lady waving me goodbye! This is by no means a cheap outing, and it's just the little things that make a VIP trip a VIP trip, they need to improve in these areas. I would definitely recommend this outing though. Enjoy!
