After booking this tour, we found out that the operator has a bad reputation for not showing up for their tours. We tried to contact the operator the day before to confirm, but they did not answer phone and there was no voicemail. Also text messages through this app went unanswered. When we showed up at the appointed time and place, sure enough the guide did not show. Viator should remove them from their website.
We booked this tour along with my sister and brother in law for one of our cruise stops. Viator confirmed the tour and we printed off tickets. When I looked at the ticket after we started our cruise I realized they hadn’t confirmed a time. My brother in law had internet and tried contacting Sights and Bikes tour to confirm a time, they never responded. We went to the meeting spot in Cadiz the morning of our tour and they never showed up. We tried calling, our cruise staff tried and so did viator but they did not answer. So we were left high and dry.
Don’t book this tour. The vendor did not respond to email and did not show up for the tour. We waited for over an hour but no one showed up.
I could tell this tour was going to a be a mess from the beginning. We met our tour group at the meeting location, along with a few other tours. Our tour guide didn't have a sign but all of the other tours did, so it was not easy to find our group. Then we found out our small tour of 15 or less people was actually 30 people. As we walked to meet our bus, the guide led us to the wrong bus and then could not find our bus and had to call and the bus had to pull around to our location. Once we were on the bus, I found out that they had merged 3 tours onto this bus. The tour I booked, a tour where only a ride was given to Seville and back and another tour where people purchased their own tickets to visit some of the sites. When we arrived in Seville, the group of 6 people that had purchased their own site tours got off the bus and left with our local tour guide. The guide on our bus said that we would have to find another guide because that guide was not supposed to go with the group of 6. So, the remaining 24 people waited around for about 30 minutes until the next local guide showed up. We walked to the Alcazar palace and the 2 guides (our bus guide and the local guide) had no idea what to do. They had not even bought tickets to the Alcazar and the line to get in was already long. They eventually bought the tickets and we made it inside but not before the group had to be split into 2 groups because the guides didn't know that tour groups could only have a maximum number of people in it. We got a tour of the palace and then left. When we left the palace we had about 1 hour until we had to head to back to Cadiz. We walked over to the Cathedral for a quick tour, but not before we stopped in a local store so we could shop, which no one had asked for. It was obvious this was a setup that I'm sure the tour guide got some kind of kickback for. When we arrived at the Cathedral, we didn't have tickets and this time when the guides went to buy tickets they didn't buy enough for everyone in the group. The guides only counted us 3 times before we went in, they should have counted us 4 times, I guess. The tour of the Cathedral was rushed. We also didn't have time for lunch, 1 hour free time, or the driving tour of Cadiz. As we drove back to Cadiz, our tour guide decided to stay in Seville, so it was just the tour group and the bus driver, who didn't speak English. We felt incredibly shorted on this tour. Would not recommend.
The Seville trip was good BUT....our guide was sensitive to the needs of the group, but also sensitive to people who had joined the bus tour for the ride, but were not taking the Alcazar and Cathedral. They received a fair amount of his attention...and the most difficult part of all was that the end of the free time wasn't well orchestrated...a number of the tour guests were not at the designated location. I must admit though that the tour guide had not defined this location well. As a result we waited for nearly 45 minutes for the guide to find the stragglers and get them to the bus. We were late at the cruise ship...although they waited for the group. We were rather anxious by the time we got on board. Seville is a great place visit, the Catheral is gorgeous, the Real Alcazar quite spectacular. Location great...tour not so hot.
Great tour! Very informative and educational! Our guide Patrick was fantastic! The small group is always Nice as well! Great tour would highly recommend!
Patrick and Simone were wonderful tour guides. Very informative and saw and learned a lot about Seville and the region. Much easier being in a small group. Highly recommend this shore excursion!
The very small walking tour of Seville was just perfect. Both guides were wonderful and I will take viator tours next year. A great job by Sandra and Patrick!
