This tour is everything you want and more. There are plenty of sights wrapped up in just one day tour, which makes it even more appealing. Radwan was by far one the best guides I have ever had the pleasure to go on a tour with. A great Egyptologist, always with an answer to any question I would have and further explanations when needed, fully knowledgeable about the culture and history of Egypt. The trip itself was smooth and I had a lovely time altogether. I highly recommend this tour. Don't hesitate to ask for Radwan as your tour guide, you'll also find a friend in him in Egypt.
Eraky was amazing ! Explained everything and took me to all the great places.
If you have just one day to visit Alexandria, I would strongly recommend this amazing tour. We were with the tour guide Ashraf Zakhaey and driver Ahmed Maged, who were extremely helpful and friendly. Ashraf is very knowledgeable with many years of experience, so he would never let you get bored, even when you have to stand in the traffic. Ashraf told us many interesting things about the city, the historical sites, architechtual works... which we really appreciated since we didn’t expect so much learnings in a day tour! Best of all, Ashraf and Ahmed made us very comfortable during the tour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have an interesting and full of information visit to Alexandria.
Excellent excursion. Our guide Ahmed Eraky was brilliant and very knowledgeable and jovial. He had a lot of information to share. Lunch was excellent, the best we had in Egypt during our stay. Highly recommended. Mustafa.
This trip was a great experience. Our guide Mohamed was very friendly and helpful, and our driver was very safe. They took good care of us. The sites were mainly from the Roman period, which was a nice change from Cairo. I loved seeing the new Library of Alexandria. I enjoyed seeing some desert countryside, but the drive between the cities was pretty long. Overall, a great trip!
We booked the Alexandria day trip with guide and driver. Our guides name was Khaled Mamdouh, and the vehicle was a mini van with great air conditioning and lots of room. Overall it was a great day, full of information, sights, and experiences. The main reason for the success of the tour was Khaled. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about all of the sights we visited and the history surrounding each, but more importantly, he was friendly, outgoing, down to earth, and engaging. This is an important element to have in your tour guide when youre spending 12 hours with him. The Roman Catacombs are a must see, and Khaled provided the history and insight as we toured the depths of the tunnels. Pompeys Pillar, the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and a delicious fresh fish lunch served at a sea front restaurant were also highlights of the day. In addition to the tourist sites we visited, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of traveling through the busy, chaotic, narrow streets of Alexandria. Getting safely from point A to B with no apparent rules of the road was incredible, and our driver, although probably used to it on a daily basis, performed admirably. It was a long day, approximately 11-12 hours or so, but lots of history was seen and learned, and we got a taste of the local culture. I would definitely recommend Khaled as a tour guide, and will ask for him in the future when we return to Cairo which we will, as theres just too much to see in one visit.
Maged(Migo) was a SPECTACULAR tour guide and made our day trip one of the most memorable experiences in Our Egypt vacation. He was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history, culture, just..everything! Lunch was great, the places we visited were described before visiting, and he was funny. Book it!
We did this tour on our first full day in Egypt. As there were just the two of us on the tour we could ask Mohammed, our guide, a lot of questions about Egypt in general and how to negotiate our way through the Egyptian culture and shopping. The five sites we visited were very good, however we had to shorten the visit to Kom El-Dekka Site Roman Amphitheatre as the Alexandria Library, our next place to visit, requires you to be part of a Library organised tour of its facilities. The trip was very much appreciated and the drive showed us a lot of the countryside.
