Su ritmo cardiaco se acelera, empieza a sentir la tensión. Es cierto, ¡se acerca la hora de su primer encuentro con un tiburón! En su expedición al mundo de esta noble bestia, podrá experimentar la gracia y la majestuosidad de uno de los más temibles depredadores.

En este día que nunca olvidará, le recogerán temprano en su hotel y viajará a Gansbaai. Disfrute de un desayuno sencillo con una visión general del día que le espera, así como de una charla con instrucciones de seguridad. Posteriormente, navegue hasta el famoso Shark Alley, llamado así por los marinos portugueses en el siglo XV debido a su increíblemente alta población de tiburones blancos. Aquí, el capitán fondeará, porque será el momento de empezar su inmersión en jaula. Si no se siente lo suficientemente aventurero para entrar en la jaula, no se preocupe, también puede disfrutar de la asombrosa experiencia desde la cubierta del barco.

Después de aproximadamente 2 a 3 horas en el mar, regresará al puerto de Gansbaai. En su viaje, podrá divisar parte de la extraordinaria fauna en estas aguas, como las diversas aves, focas, tiburones y posiblemente incluso una ballena o 2. Una vez que vuelva a Gansbaai, podrá disfrutar de un relajante almuerzo y ver el DVD de su viaje. Aquí recibirá su certificado de buceo por haber buceado dentro de una jaula y, a continuación, volverá a Ciudad del Cabo alrededor de las 17.00 h.

Trip has a very early start but they provide a breakfast when you arrive, about a 2 hour drive. They run over the security and what to do and expect- very funny guy! The water can be choppy, so remember that Dramamine! They hadn't seen any great whites in about a week due to orcas in the area, but as soon as the first cage went in, there they were- amazing! (Bring a go-pro!). I didn't go in but got some amazing shots from the top deck. All wet suits provided and boots but in June the water was very cold ( my main reason for not getting in!). The cages go down with 4 people at a time for approx 20 minutes each, then you switch groups. Each group gets 2 turns. Then it's back to the facility for hot soup and rolls before heading back to Cape town. Amazing experience, well worth your money.

Nice and scary. Unfortunately we had to wait long time to se one shark. No one to blame about it. It was a different experience. A nice one

The Disadvantages: First of all the displayed photo along with the tour is totally a fake. The water clarity is too bad, you will not see more than 2m ahead. The cage is not for one person, it is for group of people together we were 6. Secondly, it is not a scuba diving, the scenario is the cage will be close to the boat and part of it above the water surface, when the shark come close to the boat, someone will shout, so you will take a deep breath and free dive under water to have a quick look on the shark if it is close enough to you remember the water clarity is too bad. Thirdly, the boat is not that luxury, I believe it is a fishing boat. The Advantages: You would see obviously the shark while you stand on the boat, since it comes to the surface of water around the boat. Eventually, my advise is, if it is the first time for you to see the white shark, yes go ahead, otherwise, I do not advise you to take it.

We did not see any sharks...wrong time of year. However, the company gave me and my friend vouchers to return at any time. We will definitely return!!
