Everything was fantastico from the tasting to Etna. The guide was awesome and we highly recommend this tour.
Erminia our guide was excellent from her first communication to us to the end of the trip. She was extremely knowledgable and gave us a running commentary throughout the trip coping with English and German seamlessly. The trip was great we stopped at a honey farm and were able to taste and purchase wine, pesto, olives and honey. We then moved onto a lava cave which we explored then onto Etna and trekked up two of the craters. Throughout the trip Erminia gave us information about the area and astounded us with the beauty of the place. I would thoroughly recommend this trip. The view from the top was worth the trek and the view at sunset was breathtaking.
The view was spectacular.Francesco was very kind and knowledgeable about Etna. The only negative part of the trip was the weather. We should have informed that the temperature was below zero, even though the average temperature at Catania was 24 degrees.
We had a wonderful time on our tour with our family of 7. Achille was friendly and knowledgeable - we wish we had asked more questions about Mt.Etna in mythology, we found our near the end of our tour that he knew tons on that subject! We would highly recommend - this tour made seeing Mt. Etna stress free and enjoyable.
This was a fantastic trip. Our guide, Andreas, as a researcher at university, he was very knowledgeable about Etna. We visited a farm shop to start with and sampled various products, including the best tasting honey. We then explored a Lava cave, where Andreas explained the geology of the cave. We were then were taken 2000m up Etna to see a beautiful sunset, even though there was cloud about. Again Andreas told us about various aspects of Etna. We learnt so much about the beautiful but seemingly desolate volcano. If we ever visit Sicily again this trip will be on top of my list again. It was worth every penny.
Our guide Simon was the best, he was very knowledgeable. Everything was interesting and perfect, after this trip you love Sicily even more. I recommend!
Very impressive ! The road to the crater is nice and the guide is nice, speaking very good English explaining lava magma ... You will be afraid because this is the most active volcano in Europe. But is it a part of the trip. When you get to the crater at sunset, a great view !!
Our tour guide Alessandro was top notch! He was very patient with us from the beginning when we were lost trying to locate the facility all the way through to supporting my 67 year-old dad make it up to the top of the crater! Alessandro was very informative and passionate about what he was teaching us. We enjoyed the pit-stop at the organic farm and all the samples of honey, olives, and especially the wine we came home with many goodies!. The trek to the top of the crater was well worth the steady incline. The views were amazing and to think we were standing on an active volcano, wow! The only negative about this part of the day was that the tourist area was mostly closed. For obvious reasons, our tour was later in the day, and we would have liked more shopping and restaurant option only 1 restaurant and souvenir shop remained openso pack a heavy snack!. Stopping off at the cave created by lava flow was pretty cool too. The last stop to watch the sunset was fantastic. The view was both tranquil and serene, a perfect way to end the day. Thank you Alessandro for memories that will last a lifetime!
