I want to start out by saying that Roger and Ivan were fantastic. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we stayed hydrated on a very, very hot day. They were the best part about this excursion, by far! The rest of it was so-so. First, the jeeps were not in that great of condition. One Jeep broke down at the beginning of the excursion. Roger and Ivan made sure to accommodate us and had a different Jeep waiting when we were done with one of the activities. I really appreciated that. However, all three Jeeps had the check engine light on, and they had other misc. service lights on. One didn’t have any functioning brake lights. I don’t think any of the other gauges on the dash worked. They did their job in the end, but they are not in the best shape. Second, I know almost everywhere you go in Mexico, they are trying to get you to buy something in their shops. It was the same on this trip. We parked at one spot to go to the beach and people were meeting us at our Jeeps before we even opened the door. I know this is how they make their living, but after the first couple of stops, it gets annoying. Third, some of the stops we did not like. Punta Sur was cool. The beach stop we didn’t enjoy because it wasn’t even swimmable, we spent maybe 10 minutes tops at the tequila museum and were straight out asked for tips there. But then, we spent little to no time snorkeling. Our snorkeling stop was off of some kind of boat landing/restaurant. Ivan made sure we saw really cool stuff and was very attentive... however, I wish we could have skipped many of the stops and spent more time snorkeling. Overall, we kind of felt as though we were being brought to all of their friend’s/family’s shops to buy things. It even seemed as though our lunch stop was a restaurant in the family. We spend a lot of time in the very hot sun and was kind of disappointed when the focus seemed to be buying things and tipping people instead of our experience. We ended up tipping so much more than we had planned - drinks at Punta Sur, drinks at the mojito stop, the bartender at the tequila factory, the tour guide that spend 5 minutes with us at the tequila factory, the lunch servers, etc. I never have a problem tipping but the amount of stops we made where people were expected tips, asked for tips, or asked us to come see their souvenirs seemed a bit ridiculous to me. Overall, we really appreciated Ivan and Roger but it was an underwhelming experience.

Jeeps are REALLY worn out. While the guide was good driving the jeep was taking my life in my own hands. It barely stopped and would only go in 2nd gear. Getting up to 45 felt like it was going to shake apart. Really more like a self guided tour since the guide was in another jeep. Essentially a i got you there do whatever tour. Please we ate lunch at was really nice and food was good.

Let me begin by saying our guides Freddy and Luis were awesome! They were friendly, funny and very patient. They were easy to find when we got off the boat and took us to snorkeling. While swimming about 25 yards off shore I lost my wedding ring in 7 foot deep water.. When they found out I had lost it they both went out looking for it. I figured it was just a nice gesture on their part but they actually found it in about 15 minutes! In addition to finding my ring they were very patient with my 10 year old son who is a beginning snorkeler taking him out with them and helping him. After snorkeling we then had an amazing lunch followed by a great tour of the island. My only criticism of this tour is that is seemed rushed and we barely made it back to our ship on time. The excursion took 5 1/2 hours. I don't know if I would do this particular tour again if I had it to do over again but I would definitely use these guides and their company Go Adventures but just for a different tour. I would give the tour itself a 4 star but because of Freddy and Luis I give it 5.
