This was an amazing experience. Each site exceeded our expectations. James was a fantastic guide — unassuming, informative, fun! Highly recommend this tour.
The tour is well planned yet flexible. Jim is excellent: informative and witty. We covered a lot of ground in the Western Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Just what we wanted.
Andrew from Rabbie's provided us with a first-rate tour. Our day on Skye, in particular, gave me many inspiring and gorgeous views. Andrew and Rabbie's also deserve a shoutout for helping me in my proposal to my girlfriend - now my fiancee. Andrew kept me up to date about what was included and tips on where to propose. Because of this, Rabbie's is now golden to me and I'm glad I traveled with them.
Wow. First of all i would like to thank our tour guide Eric. Eric the Viking. He took the 16 person tour group on a wonderful adventure. Was very personable and social along with the great detail to historical stories and more mythical and culturally spoken about stories throughout the journey. There were people of all ages that came and he catered to all them. We had plenty of stops for toilet and food/coffee throughout the trip. It was very organised. We went to the fairy pools and fairy glen. Although i wish we had more time at fair glen ( wow wow wow! What a magical place). He even pulled over so I could take pictures of the famous and beautiful highland coos. My bed and breakfast in Portree was amazing. I would love to be able to stay there again. The view, hostess and accommodations were real nice. There were sheep next door. In fact the highlands are full of sheep. It really doesn’t have much more wild life except for the occasional deer. The Quiraing was amazing. That day it was a little more rainy so the stops were not as long, it would of been nice to spend more time but the weather was a little wet. Erick the Viking has so many stories and information, that i self was so worthwhile and such asset to the whole trip. Loch Ness was beautiful and the little town in the highland, Portree was so pretty. The food was good. Lots of fish and chips at a reasonable price. Rabbies tour was very organised and efficient. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to go to the highlands and Isle of Skye on a charter bus. If you are someone like me who wants to see isle of sky and everything else in Scotland, it requires a bus that can get through the small roads. I highly suggest using this tour group and if you’re lucky enough to get Eric you will have a great time. The whisky distillery was short hand so we couldn’t go there. The highlands and isle of sky are a place that millions go to, bits kept very local and no commercial so you really do get the taste and sense of local life... my favourite part was the Quiraing and fairy glen. Also the sheep. Thank you rabbies!
An outstanding trip led by Adam. He was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful and a fantastic commentator/story teller. He made the trip. Scotland was great too!!
Excellent, stress free way to get a taste of so much of the Highlands. It is pretty quick paced, loads of stops for photos. The scenery is INCREDIBLE! More than enough bathroom breaks, our hotel was fantastic, and Porte is a great place to stay for 2 nights. Maybe would have rather had less stops with more time in fewer places, but also understand that this a shared tour with 16 people. Finished the tour feeling like we saw everything we hoped for!
James, our guide, was outstanding! He is part geologist, history teacher, entertainer and storyteller extraordinaire. The tour included numerous stops including; fairy pools, Ben Nevis, Talisker Distillery, The Bridge to Hogwarts, and Fort William among the too many others to mention here At each stop there was a story to tell about the stop. The bus was captivated with James’ suspenseful storytelling of; Fairies, (Un)Seelies, Mary “Queen of Scotts”, William Wallace, and Robert D’Bruce, etc. A 5 star experience for sure.
A great experience...such beauty! And Rabbie’s tours and Chris our guide did a wonderful job of organizing!
The 3-day Isle of Skye and Scottish Highlands Small-group tour is wonderful. The arrangement is great, especially our tour guide Arron, he is the best! He took care of every one, make sure everyone is engaded and having fun. He is so knowledgeable and shared with us Scottish culture. He has a great selection of music and matched the music with scenary and mood, which is so amazing!!! He introduced us to a very good restaurant to try Scottish food, which is very delicious and of great value. Arron made the whole trip fun and enjoyable. I cannot say enough good words about Rabbies and Arron. Highly recommended!!!!!!
Rabbie's surpassed our expectations. Our driver and tour guide was knowledgeable, well tempered and funny. A great combination when first visiting the Scottish Highlands
Wonderful trip! Saw so much of the countryside and beauty that Scotland has to offer. My only thought and why I couldn't give 5 stars was because of the stops on the way back. I felt there were a few cute towns we could have stopped in vs. coop stops and parks (that weren't very clean and congested or offered limited food offerings). Small towns give the flavor of the area and would be beneficial to the shop owners in the area to have tourists visiting. Our bed and breakfast, Tongadale and restaurants in Portree were lovely. James was a good guide, but I felt that when asked, where our next stop was, he was a bit evasive. He did have a good sense of humor and otherwise, full of information.
It was amazing! We were blessed with amazing weather and out guide Eric Murdoch was spectacular. We covered so much in 3 days and had free time to explore. I didn't get to see all of Scotland but certainly a huge part of it.
Had a wonderful time with a small amazing group. The ride in the minivan was great and the stay was also. The guide Mr Matt and the driver Ms Sharon did a great job ! Only the halt at Loch Ness could have been for more time.
