CAF Tours is very unorganized!! We booked the 9:00 am tour, but they sent us an email the day before in the afternoon (which we didn't see until we connected to the wifi in our hotel at night) to let us know that they had cancelled our tour! They gave us the option of taking the 4:00 pm, which we did, but completely ruined our plans for the rest of the day (we had other tours booked for that afternoon). Since we really wanted to do the Uffizi with a guide, we cancelled our other plans and went to the 4:00 pm tour. When we got there, they were extremely unorganized. A lot of people were there claiming for other cancelled tours, no lines, not enough staff. We had a terrible experience. Once inside the museum, our guide was very good, and we ended up having a good tour, but the for the hassle of dealing with this company, it wasn't worth it. Please DO take a tour to the Uffizi Gallery, which is amazing and a must do in Florence, but DON"T take it with CAF Tours. Use any other company, which there are many other good ones. Taking a tour of the gallery is definitely better than doing it on your own, because you get much more from the guide's interpretation and background, and just watching the painting by yourself.
We went on the early morning tour of the museum. The lines weren’t super long, but being in a small group where we had a guide describe the art and history surrounding the pieces made this tour really worth it!
the tour and the guide was very informative, and the art was amazing. this was the second time to visit the Uffizi, and enjoyed it as much as the first time.
We took this tour to see the Birth of Venus painting. It was magical. The Gallery was extremely crowded but I guess that is to be expected. Loved skipping to the front of the line!
great tour
The guide was not adequately informed about the paintings. Poor knowledge is not what one is looking out for in a museum guide.
