Cuando el barco llegue al puerto de cruceros de Freeport, la excursión por la costa comienza al reunirse con el guía y dirigirse en autobús a Bahamian Brewery, a pocos kilómetros por carretera.
Visite las instalaciones de la fábrica donde se elabora la cerveza con su guía, quien le hablará sobre los diferentes tipos de cerveza que se hacen aquí, como la cerveza Sands "Truly Bahamian", la cerveza rubia High Rock y la cerveza negra Strong Back. Observe los tanques de maceración, las calderas de la cerveza y el equipo de embotellado, y vea cómo se llenan y se empaquetan las latas y las botellas.
Después de su visita, diríjase al bar y a la zona de cata para probar seis cervezas diferentes hechas en Bahamian Brewery. Antes de volver a subir al autobús, pase por la tienda de regalos de la fábrica, si lo desea, para comprar recuerdos de la isla.
Su excursión por la costa termina al llevarle de vuelta al puerto.

We were picked up 30 min late. Short ride to the brewery. The brewery tour is pretty lame. The lady talks for 5 min about the brewery, shows you 2 rooms, and brings you to a tasting room. She doesn't really provide a lot of info about the brewery itself, just some general info about the brewing process. The tasting room is actually decent, and they give you an ample amount of beer in there. Some of the beers arent too bad. Then they dump you out in a liquor store. We waited 30 min for the bus, never came. I had to call TWICE before we were finally pickled up. If my phone didn't work in the Bahamas i think they would have forgot about us. Overall I cannot recommend this.
The driver Brice picked us up (early!) and gave us interesting information about the island, country and culture. At the brewery, the tour lasted 30 minutes. We were then allowed to taste 6 beers and buy some not included for tasting (cheaply). You can also buy beer to bring back to the US. So fun!!
We had a 1.5 hour tour which included a quick tour of the brewery and 45 minutes of private beer tasting. They have some amazing brew and I wish they sold them outside of the Bahamas.
Unfortunately we were left waiting in the 90 degree sun for almost 25 minutes before someone showed up actually longer as we arrived 15 minutes early to be sure to be on time. When we got to the brewery, it almost seemed as though they weren't expecting us and weren't prepared. It could be that it was due to the tardiness of the driver getting us there. The tour was average, only took about 15 minutes but fun to see the assembly line running. One good thing was the opportunity to sample 6 of the beers they had in the sample room. Then you were able to continue drinking your favorites. We did enjoy the beer. Luckily the driver who was scheduled to pick us up was there on time!
So, we actually did not get to do the brewery tour or the beer tasting at all. I know this sounds a little bit like So, other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?, but other than that, it was really good! The problem with the brewery was no fault of the tour group, hence the four stars. We were picked up on time, extremely friendly and informative guide driving us and pointing out all sorts of local points of interest and telling us about the history, etc. When we arrived at the brewery we were told that due to a maintenance problem the next tour couldn't run until a time that would have been too late for us to be comfortable with the likelihood we'd get back to the ship on time. The brewery folks didn't appear to care one way or another but the tour people were exemplary. They offered us a refund or to drive us around the island for an hour and see some more sights. They reacted to the adversity of the brewery problem very professionally and ended up giving us a very enlightening and entertaining trip around the area. Kudos to them for dealing with it in a way that ended up not detracting from our enjoyment of the day. The brewery, not so much. From other reviews it sounds like the brewery staff may have been fine, but for us, they basically could not have cared less about whether or not we got to tour their facility, or what time our ship was going to leave.
If hanging out at the pier or taking taxis to the bazaar or beaches isn't your thing, then book this tour especially if you like beer. Transportation to and from the brewery is great with a short guided tour of the area. The Bahamanian Brewery is awesome! You get a tour of the facility and then more than an hour to sample as many of their beers as you like. As for the beer, it is very very good! The Sands Light is one of the better light beers I've had and their stout is very Guiness like. Great value for the money!
The tour started with Brice the tour driver picking our group of 5 up in a limo. What a great surprise!! The brewery tour was informative and fun. The tasting room was great. The grapefruit beer was awesome. The employees at the brewery made this tour a must see. Very reasonable.
Great location and great space! The tour was fun and we were able to see the process from beginning to end, and our tour guide was superb! And the beer was super tasty!
