It was such an amazing day!! Perfect amount of driving and walking, the island was gorgeous and so was the cliffs!! Perfect Guinness on the island!! Raymond was our driver. He was funny, very knowledgeable, and not hard to look at either, ha!! Very personable.
Due to the high winds, the ferry company canceled the trip to the Aran Islands. The bus company offered us alternatives of refunding our money, rescheduling the trip, or continuing on the trip with a stop at the Aillwee cave. We chose to stay on the trip. Cave was so-so; better caves in US. Weather at the cliffs was very windy and rainy. Jon, the tour guide did an excellent job and provided us with much humor and information.
Great day! Our tour guide was very informative and affable. The coach was comfortable and the island was beautiful. Perfect weather. Great way to see the countryside as well
The luck of the Irish was on our side and the sun came out all day. Alan was a great guide. Made sure everyone was accounted for at all times. He also pre-arranges your excursion on the Aran Island. For 10 Euros per person you can take a pony/trap or tractor ride. He calls in advance to ensure you have everything arranged and keeps you on time. We actually had extra time on the top of the cliffs. The boat ride was calm and people generally polite when we passed the cliffs of Moher. We did two passes, so each side could sit down on the top deck and kept the pandemonium to a minimum. Very well organized. Great overall day
No Aran islands because of the nasty weather! No cruise to the Cliffs of Moher!!! Real disappointment! But through pouring rain and severe gust we did manage to see Cliffs of Moher from the point of view (!)
The entire day was amazing. The only challenges were that there wasn’t an exact indication of a meeting spot for the bus so we had to ask around. I felt that Viator should have been more specific.
Our tour guides were Marion and Eamon , and they were wonderful! They were friendly and welcoming, and super accommodating. They provided useful information and commentary throughout the trip. Their humor made the trip extra fun. My boyfriend proposed to me during this trip, and when Marion and Eamon found out, they bought us a card to congratulate us. We highly recommend this team and this tour!
This was a very comprehensive tour, visiting both one of the Aran Islands and the Cliffs (by boat and by foot). Truly enjoyed our day with John, who is a fantastic guide!
Overall very happy to take this tour. Both Eamon and Mary did fantastic introduction and provide sufficient information for me to understand the history of the visited places. If I have another opportunity I will do another round of tour to another location.
Fantastic trip to Innisheer and the Cliffs of Moher. Our Tour Guide Peter was amazing and kept us all going with his wonderful stories. He was also cool, calm and collected under a lot of pressure.
My mom and I loved this tour! It was the perfect day for us! Our guide, Alan, was fantastic! He gave us lots of information along the bus ride to the cliffs and back! He even helped arrange a pony and trap on the island. We felt like there was plenty of time to explore on our own at each place and really enjoyed the ease and convenience of being on this tour. We both would HIGHLY recommend this tour.
This is a must do tour if you are going to Ireland. Our tour guide Alan was an excellent guide. Both knowledgeable and friendly. Absolutely loved the Aran Island and the Cliffs are spectacular. The scenery on this trip from Galway was magnificent.
My son and I went on this tour in July and we loved it. Peter was our guide and he was amazing! We had a great time at the Aran islands. Peter helped us book a hore and carriage tour of the island and it was great. We then had lunch, and bought some amazing fudge and great hand made necklaces. It was a perfect amount of time on the island. We then took a boat tour of the Cliffs. It was amazing to see them from that perspective. One of the women who worked on the boat even helped me to get some great pictures of puffins! We then went up to the Cliffs and explored. The timing was perfect. On the drive there and back, Peter was hysterical and so knowledgeable. I felt like we were a big group traveling, not a bunch of individuals. It was a wonderful day. Highly recommended!!!
We booked the Cliffs of Mohr excursion out of Galway. A rep met us at our hotel and walked us around 8 blocks to the bus. It first it seemed a bit disorganized however as soon as John our bus driver started the tour, it was amazing. He had a great knowledge of the area, he also had a great sense of humor. The drive was relaxing and the destinations were beyond beautiful. The ferry ride was not rough (beautiful calm seas) and the island experience was good. We wanted to take a tractor around the island however none were running so John walked us to a hotel restaurant for an exceptional lunch. John then arranged for a horse drawn cart to take us around. We did not have enough time to see the castle or the seal colony - 2 things I really wanted to see,, but the experience was great. Hop back on the ferry and boated to the cliffs - so beautiful. Then back on the bus to experience the cliffs from above. Overall - exceptional experience.
This was a great tour! Allen was a great host and we had an excellent trip out to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs. This is the only way to see the Cliffs, from the water (they will cruise up and down the Cliffs so both sides can see them) and then from the top. The only thing I would warn folks about is taking small children on the bus. The roads of Ireland are very bumpy and quite a few children on our bus got sick. If you have kids, get there early for access to the front of the bus.
Our guide John was absolutely fantastic. Gave us an amazing tour. Inisheer was cozy and quaint. The cliffs were breathtaking.
Our bus driver (Peter) was lively and entertaining. He told us about the history of various places we passed and was hilarious. Without him the drive still would have been beautiful but he made it fun. The trip itself is exactly as it is described when you purchase it. I was not sure what was so special about the Aran Islands until I went there, and I am so glad it was included in this trip. The island was especially beautiful. The cruise along the cliffs of moher is very beautiful, but it isn't until you get on top of the cliffs later on that the majesty of them really hits you. My only complaint about the trip is that we only get an hour on top the cliffs themselves. Oh! The boat ride was packed so we had to sit outside which was pretty darn cold and we got wet, so prepare for that possibility. However, the rest of the tour is completely worth while and was the highlight of the two weeks we spent touring Ireland.
John was great. Trip was great. Lots of info, extra stops for photos. Highly recommend taking this tour!!
Had a amazing day with loads of amazing views and good laughs from our friendly and knowledgeable guide Alan! Thanks for a great day.
This was a fantastic tour! We were blessed with a sunny day and our two fun and informative guides, John and Jerry! Laughs, music, beautiful views and a wealth of knowledge! Highlight of our trip!
One of the best days ever; not to be missed. The knowledge of our driver John was outstanding! There wasn’t a tidbit or remark missed. What a pleasure it was to spend the day of incredible sites and a truly great guy.
Our guide John was very helpful, knowledgeable, and great fun! We loved Aran island as well as the Cliffs of Moher - highly recommend.
Thi was an most amazing journey in my life. The sea types were fantastic. The journey on a ship is very interesting! Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours from Galway is very nice trip. Our driver JOHN was very merry and much jested. I hope I will go to this Atlantic Way again.
Very well organized and John was amazing, full of humour and immensely informative. A FANTASTIC day out
Fantastic value for money! The driver was fabulous and very friendly and accommodating. Saw loads in one day and can't recommend this tour enough.
We cannot imagine a better days experience than the one we had seeing The Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and the surrounding towns under the guidance of our tour leader Peter. Ten+ hours is a long day, but Peter’s knowledge combined with his comfortable sense of humor is so engaging that the day flies by. The tour locations with the friendly local residents and incredible views are not to be missed. This experience gets a 10 from our whole party.
Precisely as described. the driver / guide, Damion was very helpful. he told us stories and made jokes along the way. It was well planned and organized to give us the exact time needed, not more or less. As i was searching, it was the most convenient one to do the Cliffs with one of the Aran Islands for this price and in one day. i certainly recommend it.
We picked up our bus in Galway for our trip to Doolin to get the ferry to the island of inisheer. John our bus driver was fantastic he gave us more information about the towns we were going through When we got to inisheer we met Kevin with his horse and buggy Daisy. For a 45 min horse and buggy ride around the island.John made the day perfect Thanks
