A vibrant metropolis, SAIGON teems with energy, activity and motion. Everywhere you look, you see the meeting of traditional and modern life. The emerging modern skyline stands cheek by jowl with colonial buildings and traditional temples. Outside on the streets, young professionals zip by on motorbikes, chatting on cellphones; inside the quiet temple courtyards, worshippers pray amidst clouds of incense.

Begin your tour into modern history with a tour of the REUNIFICATION PALACE. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s style building was famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975 signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state, and the original tanks remain on display near the entrance gates.

Afterwards driving to the historic center to visit EMPEROR OF JADE PAGODA, one of Saigon's most interesting pagoda. Proceed to pay a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL and the CENTRAL POST OFFICE. Pass by the classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate CITY HALL (HOTEL DE VILLE), the old OPERA HOUSE (both may only be viewed from the outside).

After this historical visit continue to the WAR REMNANTS MUSEUM where exhibition halls display imagery of both the French and ‘American’ wars.

Finally, end up at the central BEN THANH MARKET, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts, appealing to every taste.

Not a great tour. While the guide was knowledgeable the jeep was old, uncomfortable and when it stated raining and they put up the tarp roof it had holes in it and leaked.

I asked, in the last minute for our tour guide Miley to take us to see temples instead of the schedules route and she was very accommodating. What a treat!

Pick up was prompt from hotel by driver 007 and our guide Jonnie. Really fun guide good English. Jonnie explainied lots of interesting facts throughout the tour. Great way to see the city and all its sights. Jonnie took loads of photos of us once forwarded to us we will add to the review

Great tour with Johnny Walker and drivers 005 and 007. Johnny was a fun and informative guide even taking us to places that he thought we would enjoy. An excellent way to see all of the sites in an afternoon or morning.

This was a great way to see the city. We are a family of 6, children age 5, 9, 10 and 12. You feel connected with the city and it's mad traffic. A good pace to see all the sights once we got out of the jeep. Everyone loved it.

Highly recommended for those wanting a good look around Saigon with great guides. Johnny's knowledge and humour made the four hours interesting and great fun while 007 artful driving got us around the organised chaos streets with ease. Great option for see prime sites Reunificantion Place, Saigon Postoffice, War Museum and to miss the afternoon heat. Big thank you to Johnny and 007 we look forward to seeing your photos
