This was the best experience during our short visit to Ho Chi Minh City. Our student guides, Callie, Kwen and Raymond, were all very friendly, smart and nice, and showed great enthusiasm for spending some time with us and showing us around some awesome local spots that we wouldnt have known to visit otherwise! We got to sample some awesomely authentic local street food, and got to spend a few hours with the awesome local students...5/5 great experience!
Best night ever! we messaged our host by whatsapp, very prompt and easy to communicate with Hung- the organizer. Scootering around with Henry, Linh, My Misty and Chi was one of the best experiences my family and I have had during our stay in Vietnam. The organizer, Hung was very prompt in letting us know that the students would be picking us up at our hotel. They arrived promptly and were extremely accommodating to our dietary restrictions. They even changed one of the restaurant locations due to our needs so nice!. As we went along through the streets of HCM, each dish was accompanied by a rich history of what region the cuisine came from and how it all came together. From eating Bún bò Huế to Bánh Xèo don't worry you'll get it once you try it the spread of food that night took us from the very North of Vietnam to the South. Unforgettable. Henry, Linh, My and Chi were all extremely amiable in the way they hosted my family and I couldn't be more grateful to each of them for that. Thank you all for such a great time! Highly recommend this experience!
Definitely use them again when we come back Saigon. The experience with Hung was much more than I expected, you are definitely in for a treat for trying new foods if you are inexperienced to Vietnamese cuisine and I left extremely full that night. While walking and eating, I learned about some of the food cultural differences between south and north Vietnam and about life in Ho Chi Minh which I do not think you would hear much about just passing through traveling or reading from any tourist guide book. I strongly recommend this experience for small groups, with empty stomachs, and willingness to try new foods. An added bonus was Hung sent me some information about recommended places to eat near where I was staying, because there is so much different foods to try. Thank you very much Hung for the excellent experience!
Experience the city like a local with local friends! Being on the back of a motorbike is definitely the best way to see Saigon! Hung and Linh were wonderful guides and very safe drivers! They punctually picked us up at our accommodation, explained our plans, and we hit the streets in the middle of rush hour. It was very exciting, my head was on a swivel with all the sights to see, and I think I wore a permanent smile : We went to 4 different districts around the city, and got to taste 5 traditional Vietnamese street food dishes - all were very interesting and tasty. Chi and Linh were very knowledgeable teaching us about the food, and talking about Vietnamese culture and get to know about our guides. We also stopped at a vista point on the river with a great view of Saigon and took pictures. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh looking for an authentic taste of the city!
