This was a great tour, the only issue I had was the time at the War Remnants Museum. I felt very rushed. I could easily spend 3-4 hours there and with the tour we only had about an hour. Other than that, it was great!
The sites were great - I really loved the Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels - in fact I wish we got more time at the museum but that's ok, it's what you risk at these kind of things. I wasn't really that chuffed with our guide - he kept saying he couldn't speak great English, but actually his English was fine, I just found that he talked really fast and repeated himself, and didn't really tell stories that well. I felt like I couldn't understand him because he would talk too fast or repeat a point over and over until I zoned out. He also didn't walk around the Government Palace or the museum with us and explain what we were seeing which would've been great, especially at the Palace which had very little info anywhere so ultimately was a pretty boring portion of the trip, as it's just a really well decorated government building without any history info etc. I can't fault the planning of the trip however, food was great, the places we went were cool, and I'm still glad I went.
Very good tour. Learned so much about the Vietnam war. It was a very solemn day. Not only did we tour the Cu Chi Tunnels and War Remnants museum, but we saw Notre Dame, and the Post Office too. We were there in January and it was very hot. Be prepared with sun screen and bug repellent. Also, wear comfortable shoes sneakers as you will do a lot of walking
I thought this was a relatively good tour. The tour guide I think his name was MT had great English and was really funny. Personally, I think both of these spots are places people, especially Americans, should visit if in Ho Chi Minh City. The place we ate was delicious and we even stopped for some weasel coffee.
