In the fresh air in the early morning, we walk through the renowned bamboo forest before the site gets busy. The beauty of the bamboo grove in the morning sun is exceptional. Let's stop and close your eyes. Beautiful bamboo trunks and leaves touch each other by the morning breeze and make sounds that heal and your heart tenderly.

Stop At: Kinkakuji Temple, 1 Kinkakujicho, Kita-ku, Kyoto 603-8361 Kyoto Prefecture
It is a famous temple which is the icon of Samurai culture. It once was a villa of retired shogun and transferred to a temple after his death. The main building covered with gold leaf itself is so beautiful which is next to none. In addition to that, the harmony with a pond and garden makes the scenery magnificent. When you come to Kyoto, you can’t miss this site.

This temple is rather small one for a temple in Kyoto, but its dry garden is well known as a representing Zen garden. Please sit on the veranda and gaze rocks and designed sand which lead you to a deep meditation as our ancestors experienced.

Interesting tour and great guide. We had a very informative guide who gave us personal attention. The downside was that before booking the tour we called viator and the representative informed us that our JR pass would get us to all the sites. This was not the case and we ended up by buying 2 meteo tickets. Also when asked if the entrance fees were included the rep said yes....again we were mis lead there and we had to pay at every single site.
