In addition, you can observe less common resident species like the Iron Architect which gets its name from the impressive twig platform it creates for a nest. The Laughing Falcon (Herpetotheres Cachinnans) is a good-sized hawk whose presence is an indicator of a healthy environment, this because their diet depends on snakes, which in turn feed on frogs, rodents, lizards, birds and other snakes. In the park it is also possible to see Black-Cheeked Woodpeckers (Melanerpes Pucherani) and Purple Trogons (Trogon Violaceus).
