Knowledgable, however, we seemed rushed. Greatly disliked that we did not have a choice of a resturant. It was by Gonsalo and was the worst meal we had in Portugal. He flocked to his table to eat, although he offered assistance. Two of the group were not served timely and we decided to stay at the table until their meal arrived. An alternate eating site is recommended. When we left the pick up site at the Hard Rock, it appeared we were running approx. 15-20 min behind, which compounded the late arrival at the resturant which may have caused the kitchen backlog. During the drive, he made a disparagingly comment about Spaniards which was not appreciated. One of my companions advised him, yes, we had a Spaniard on board. Gonsalo somewhat apologised It was an assumption on his part, we were all from the US/Canada. Much like Gonsalo, I am very proud of my heritage and the comment was rude and unnecessary and most of all unnesessary. He certainly could have refrained or reworded his comment. Everything seemed to be a joke to him, once my fellow companion Advised him one was on board. He soured the tour.
Our tour guide Pedro was great. He gave us extra time for shopping and lunch. It was so hot that we enjoyed the walk on the beach in Nazaré.
Excellent trip a ,must see location ... beautiful sites the cities are breathtaking great guide highly recommend it !!!
Excellent day trip which was fully in line with the description and more. The tour guide, André, was extremely knowledgable and really wanted us all to go away with the best experience possible. He managed to find a great place for us to eat at great value for money and we were also able to make the most of every stop by visiting the additonal monuments (at our own cost if we so wanted to) and according to what we were looking for in the tour, which is both of interest from a general tourist point of view and also from a religious one as visiting a number of important Marial shrines - I would highly recommend this tour as one of the best I have ever done.
This experience was amazing! Our tour guide Nuno Fernandes was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He gave us ample time in each stop to see everything comfortably and and besides sight seen we had plenty of time to look in gift shops, etc. I highly recommend this tour!
Rui was a great guide. Energetic, funny, knowledgeable and patient. We had ample time to see Fatima, Nazare and Obidos and we were taken to fantastic places to shop and eat. Overall a day well spent.
Andre was a great tour guide he speaks two different languages at the same time English and French, he gave excellent background and explain every small details all the trip .Nazare was great lovely and wonderful seafood lunch. very recommended tour and guide
It was a very good experience. I just wished Fatima visit could have been longer, especially that it rained but overall we’re satisided.
Of all the tours we've had, this was our favorite. Our tour guide made all the difference - he was very knowledgeable and courteous. In addition, the family restaurant he recommended for lunch was the best food we had while in Portugal! I also highly recommend Restaurante Rose Dos Ventos in Nazare.
Overall, very enjoyable. However, I realize that Fatima has special religious significance but I felt we spent too much time there and not enough time in Obidos and Nazare. I felt that overall, these two towns were far more interesting than Fatima.
Rodriguez was an excellent guide. Fluent in all things Portuguese. He even took us on a side trip to Batalha. Lunch in Nazare was spectacular!
The guide tried to speak English and Spanish but obviously information will not be complete. Otherwise all good.
Joao was a great tour guide! He was very helpful at all times and for all purpose. Highly recommend!
What a great trip! Each one fascinating and different from the others. In addition to the 3 listed, we stopped at Batalha, truly an impressive Gothic cathedral. Our guide, whose name I've sadly forgotten, was excellent, informative and humorous, and the trip was well paced. Would definitely recommend.
We were very pleased with the tour and our tour guide, Ricardo was great! Best ever tour guide we have had so far and we’ve traveled a lot. He was very warm and pleasant. Gave excellent background and insights about the places we visited. Loved the place and food he recommended for lunch (best fresh grilled squid!). Very accommodating too on our special requests. We will definitely recommend him to our friends.
This tour was a great way to spend the day outside Lisbon while visiting the shrine of Fatima and the small towns of Nazare and Obidos. Our tour guide/driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and the group was small (10 people). As we drove to Fatima, the guide provided useful information about the shrine and some historical information about the event and Portugal history in general. Nazare was a bit underwhelming since it was almost empty in January. Obidos was empty as well, but it was great walking through the old fortress with very few tourists. Overall it was a good tour and recommended for someone looking to spend a day visiting outside Lisbon.
Nunu our guide made this a very special day ... we felt it was like visiting friends who wanted to show us beautiful places with a special touch. well done.
Our tour guide/driver Nuno was excellent, outstanding, knowledgable and informative. He was very helpful, patient and polite. The tour was amazing. Small group of 8. The timing was perfect. We had sufficient time to do what we need to do and see in Fatima, Batalha, Nazaré, Óbidos. Returned to Lisbon on time.
We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Nunu. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a delicious lunch in Nazaré. I would highly recommend this tour, especially liked that it was a small group, just 8 of us.
Our tour was well organized by a friendly tour guide in a comfortable luxury van. This was an easy way to see these special sites. Our favorite site was the light filled Batalha Monastery which we visited after Fatima. Fatima, Nazare, Obidos and Batalha were as different as could be and well worth visiting. A pilgrimage site, beach town, medieval walled town and a Gothic cathedral all in one day!
