Our guide and driver Pedro was excellent, he provided an awesome overview and details for each view points. He was very accomodating and customized the tour to our likings and ease. There were only two of us so we had a great private tour.
Good Tour....I wish we had done more palaces!
This is an amazing tour which covers the main points of Lisbon, Highly recommend it.
This small group tour of Lisbon turned out to be one of our best Viator bookings so far. Our tour guide, Joao, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He was able share many historical facts in a very entertaining manner and did not rush thru the sites. My husband loves photography and he's very appreciative that our guide gave him time to take pictures. The restaurant we had lunch in, had spectacular Portugese food. We enjoyed this amazing tour!
The supplier had a setback at the start of the day but kindly made it up to us by upgrading our tour and throwing in a freebie as well. Our guide Joao was a great help and very courteous. He gave us great tips for the rest of our stay in Lisbon.
The tour started out well. Carlos Poejo, our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. All the morning stops were good, however upon attempting to get back into the city center, the streets were filled with vehicles and traffic was at a complete standstill.Carlos did everything in his power to find a way to next stop, but it truly was not possible. We parked the vehicle, underground, and walked to the next point in the tour, several blocks away.At this point it was decided that we should have lunch in the area and try later to continue the tour. After lunch, Carlos said that we would not be able to drive to any of the sights scheduled for the afternoon, as all the streets were closed in preparation for a big parade that was going on the next day, in addition to numerous celebrations and festivities being held all over the city due to a holiday week-end. We then walked to a few areas that were close by, but it was a VERY hot afternoon and we decided not to attempt and more of the sights during a stop we made to get a cool drink. Carlos felt very bad that he wasn't able to give us the tour as was scheduled but it really was not at all his fault.
One good thing of this tour is it's a private group tour. We had one tour guide for our group of 4. It also promised the pick up from the hotel which was very helpful. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but we could only get it from him by asking questions. Although we visited the Jeronimo Monastery, We were disappointed not to see the whole site. This tour only allow you to see the part which has free admission. Also when the tour guide took us to Alfama for lunch, it would be better if he could have asked what we would like to eat. He just took us to a restaurant of his choice.
Excellent tour of Lisbon. And doing it in a small group is great! LOTS more information and personal attention. Our guide, Joao a.k.a. John was outstanding! If you're lucky enough to get him, you're in for a great day. Highly recommended!
