Anna was a terrific guide. We loved visiting the local food places. Enjoyed the wine and food immensely.
Good introduction to the City for tastes of local food and locations in and around Rossio Square. Guide was friendly and informative. Food and drink were not special. It was fun, and you will make a lot of new friends, but an "Average Andy" kind of Tour.
Great experience and delicious food. Our tour guide answered all our questions and could recommend some spots for us. I'd highly recommend this tour for friends who are new to Lisbon as it's a very handy way of finding your way around the beautiful old city.
My best friend and I did this tour in August. While I am a picky eater and she doesn’t drink, I figured it would be a great way to discover different neighborhoods and local establishments of Lisbon. I was disappointed we stayed in one very touristy neighborhood and did not get a lot of history. The food was largely inedible for both of us. Helder was perfectly friendly and informative. I love doing food tours in new countries (Prague, Barcelona, Paris) despite being a picky eater, but this one fell short.
Our guide Catarina was very patient; over half of the group (including myself) was late! But the late start was the only hiccup... our tour was delicious, insightful, and visually beautiful. A good guide loves their city, and Catarina is a great guide! She showed us some nooks we never would have noticed, and she even brought a local spirit to try, separate of any scheduled stop! The stops were wonderful, though be prepared for close quarters in some of these small old shops. That's where they hide the flavor! The word "tasting" in the title is misleading as you will receive large portions everywhere! Do not eat lunch before your tour.
This was a great tour with Joanna. It was very informative and above all fun. We learned about the different wines and the different foods of the Portuguese. We would take this to her again and a heartbeat.
Ones, our guide was terrific. The food was interesting and plentiful, the local wines and ports were great... not so sure about the ginja!
Can't say enough about how great the tour was, Tiago was awesome!!!!! His personality was like a breath of fresh air, his passion for the history of the city, and his knowledge of the food and wine was incredible, he made the tour! I would recommend the tour and Tiago over and over again!!!
This walking tour was fantastic! Pedro, our guide was amazing. He was knowledge of not only local food and wine but the history of the town. His personality was amazing which made the tour a lot more fun! He picked great spots, the hidden gems you would say. We met amazing people in our group. Great tour!
The food and wine were great. The beginning of the tour started with the history of Portugal. I found that a little to lengthy. People were anxious to move on and it was extremely hot outside. Once we started moving on...the tour was good.
You will not go hungry on this tour! Our delightful guide Rachel was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. There was way more drinks and food than I had expected. We left the tour stomachs full and feeling very merry. Highly recommend
Tour guide Sofia was awesome. Tour and food samplers was very average and kept within close Vicinity of Rossio square where we initially met guide
This tour was well worth the cost, and very enjoyable. There were about 15 in our small group, so not an overwhelming amount of people - it made navigating the streets and fitting in the small shops relatively easy. Each stop gave us a different food and drink - typically generous portions. We ended up not even needing to get dinner afterwards. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys sampling new food and drinks.
One of the best I have done. Catarina was so knowledgeable and friendly. We could ask anything. 14 was the perfect number for a walking tour. Great sampling of traditional Portuguese food and wines. Disappointed we didn’t get a custard tart appreciation lesson but that was minor.
Our guide Joanna was simply amazing! She made everyone so welcome and was very knowledgeable! The food and wine were things that you might not have experienced before and were delicious! We met new friends from so many different counties and enjoyed spending time with them immensely.
Luis was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We got a great variety of food and drink. Nice walking pace through the different neighbourhoods of Lisbon, highly recommend this tour
What an wonderful evening! We tastes nice wine and fingerfood, met wonderful poeple and our guide was great!
Carolina was a great guide and brought us to some hidden gem/local favorites. We ate and drank our way through a couple local neighborhoods. Fun way to meet other tourists too! Definitely recommend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of Lisbon with the wonderful Tiago. His knowledge of the city and the tips that he gave us for the rest of our holiday were excellent. Tiago looked after the group which he calls his 'family' incredibly well and pointed out areas off the beaten track that we otherwise would never have discovered. The food and drink stops are well chosen both in terms of letting you see different parts of the city but also as they are diverse in nature, from a speciality deli to a small bar/food outlet frequented mainly by locals, a wine bar and to finish a beautiful courtyard setting with a table prepared for us. We cannot recommend this type of tour highly enough and will definitely do similar tours on future city breaks.
Such an enjoyable 3 hours of walking, drinking and eating - 12 in our group and met in an easy to find spot by the statue in Rossio Square - Sofia was our guide - she was fun and informative and organized everything beautifully - got to try some classic tastes of Portugal in some iconic spots - really enjoyable - delicious drinks and light bites and would highly recommend - thank you!
We had a great time on this tour...Carolina managed to herd 15 of us with dexterity and humour around the various locations. It was great fun - highly recommended.
