The entire tour was fantastic. I have two praises and two clarifications. The tour guide Claudia was wonderful and gave insight but did not yap on and on. The inner circle tour was a once in a lifetime experience. Don't miss it. Now, I would not call the morning tour a sunrise tour. We were there well after sunrise. Call it an early morning tour. The final observation is that I would add another hour to the tour... at least 45 minutes for Bath and 15 minutes for Lacock. Not enough time. If you want an overview of the cities, perfect. But in bath there is only enough time to see the roman baths and that is all. In Lacock, by the time you walk down a couple of streets and get a refreshment and use the restroom it is time to go. Would have loved to have had another 15-30 minutes. Don't miss this tour though. It is fantastic!
Once in a lifetime experience! We arrived early morning while the sun was still low on the horizon. If stones could speak...the stories they would tell!
The trip to Stonehenge and Bath was not enjoyable. First, I had no idea that we would be going on a bus with 40 other people. We did not have enough time in Bath to walk and shop. The trip to Laycock was ridiculous. We saw nothing of the village. We had so many people that we had to split into two groups when we got to Stonehenge. The group that was not admitted first had to just walk around in the windy cold. This trip was not worth the money. I would not recommend it to anyone.
We did the evening tour. Town of Bath was lovely and had just enough time to do a little exploring. Dinner option before heading to Stonehenge was amazing. And seeing Stonehenge as the sun went down, all to ourselves was priceless. What an amazing day.
Booked the AM tour with stop in Lochton? , and Bath. Highlight was a up close view of Stonehenge. You get to see just how huge and fragile the stones are. Time and erosion is slowly eating these behemoths which you'll not see from behind the ropes general admission. Bus was new, clean and climate controlled. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Side note - my companion left his cell phone on the bus at the end of the tour and Premier the bus operator was able to retrieve it for us to pick up the following day. That was a great save by them.
This tour meet our expectations. we got quality time to walk within the circle and outside and take plenty of qlty pictures.
Driver Richard great careful courteous driver. Guide Peter very informative and funny. Very enjoyable tour.
I was leaving behind when, the bus leaving without me No phone of the guide to get in touch. The fist it happened to me. No responsible for her group. The guide knowledge is OK but the way she presented is flat, as someone reading a book for other.or a teacher is exposing her substances
The majority of this tour was wonderful. To much time in Lacock and not enough time in Bath. The reason I’m giving it a 3 is because prior to going to lunch the guide asked about special diets. Several requests were made, including my wife whom is vegetarian. However, when we arrived at the restaurant other tourists opted for the vegetarian option. Because of the changes my wife couldn’t eat because the restaurant ran out of vegetarian options. They should have taken names and handed out the special diets to the people that requested one.
We had such an amazing time on this tour with our guide, Peter. The stop in Bath was great. The city is very quaint and the Roman Baths were a sight to see! (Especially since we were there the day the "Yellow shirt lady" decided to jump in and swim around the bath for almost 2 hours!) We then went over to LeCock for a group dinner. Peter informed us of so much history along the way and was super funny as well. I cannot say enough about our time at Stonehenge. We were the ONLY tour group there at that time and we were allowed to walk into the area with the stones. Peter made sure that we took turns so that we were able to get some awesome photos and enjoy the fact that we were inside the inner circle of such a historic site. We had a beautiful day so our sunset was spectacular! On our way home Peter made sure we all knew how to navigate back to our accommodations. He even offered to ride the underground with a couple of older women so they felt secure on their way back "home". The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic and I cannot recommend this tour enough.
This tour was phenomenal!! Our tour guide was the greatest. The weather was in our advantage and we saw a fantastic sunset from inside the ring. A dream come true trip. Tour of Bath was great. We had enough time to see quite a bit. And dinner in Lacock was very good. The overall tour was one of our best times.
Our trip was just as we hoped. Our tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable and had a real interest in the history. On our trip he added just the right amount of information and humor. In each part we learned about the area and on our return about the neighborhoods of London. Our driver Llamar was unbelievable driving the tour bus on narrow roads and maneuvering around vehicles.
This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. Our guide Steven M. Was fantastic. He is a great teacher! We enjoyed his humor and his attention to every detail of the trip. And a big thank you to our driver Taguy. It couldn’t have been a better day.
Our guide and driver were fantastic, very personable and knowledgeable. The inner circle of Stonehenge is breathtaking, we are so glad we were able to go! Highly recommend!!
My daughter and I did this tour July 22nd. This was an amazing tour! Frank, our tour guid was exceptional and very knowledgeable! This tour does make for a long day, but well worth it! My daughter and I did the sunrise tour and it felt so magical walking between the stones before anyone else arrives. This is the only way to see and experience Stonehenge.
Even though the day started pretty early, it was all worth it! We experienced the beauty of Stonehenge almost as if we were alone, and were able to take fantastic pictures. Lacock was a charming town with a great breakfast. Bath was lovely and incredibly lively :) Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us with some great pictures!
This trip was outstanding and our guide Peter was the absolute best! I recommend the sunset trip for amazing pictures. Order the meat pie at Georges. You will not be disappointed!
Really enjoyed the trip with Steve, I wish he had a better watch, we were to return at 930pm and made it back at 1115. Also almost missed the bus since we arrived on the corner of the hotel at the precise time required and Steve seemed surprised we were there. Overall enjoyed the entire trip loved bath, lacock and Stonehenge!!
Yes, you have to get up early but it is well worth it. To walk within the stones is truly special and amazing. You really are the only people there at this time of morning. The gift shop was open when we got back to the parking area, which was nice. Breakfast at the small town was really good and a nice break. Bath was like stepping back in time. I felt like I was in an historical romance novel.
My husband and I did this tour yesterday with Peter as our guide. He was a wonderfully charming and witty tour guide and we could not have asked for a better day. Would highly recommend both Peter and this tour!
Inner Circle Access is the absolute only way to see Stonehenge. It was amazing to see the stones in the early morning before all the crowds. The bus was comfortable, with a toilet onboard. The lunch stop was cute and Bath has a great museum.
It was a long day ,but I wished it was longer! I had a lovely lunch/dinner in Lacock, but no time to see the Abby or just wander in the charming village. Bath was also lovely, but I felt rushed because we had lost some time in a traffic jam. We had good amount of time at Stonehenge and it was amazing to get past the rope and get some fabulous pictures of the site . Carol and our driver went above and beyond and I highly recommend this trip, I would do it again!
Had an amazing day with Leon and Nuno ... Pick up was seemless, Bath was great, dinner in Lacock was good and the of course Stonehenge. Amazing. Leon was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable and so much fun with his stories on the bus.
The access to the inner circle of Stonehenge is totally worth it the extra cost. We got some amazing pictures and had a chance to examine the stones up close, as long as we don’t touch them, at which point you’d promptly be kicked out. Our tour bus was split into two groups, each having 30 min to access inside the Stonehenge circle and then 30 min outside the circle. We didn’t really enjoy Bath but it may have been a reflection of it being a very busy day there so we were stuck waiting in line for 20 min of an hour+ visit and the Roman Baths were packed wall to wall, making it difficult to enjoy. We mainly went on this tour because we wanted to go to Lacock along with Stonehenge. We didn’t join the group meal at Lacock, instead choosing to spend our hour at the Lacock Abbey to take pictures of the Harry Potter filming locations, which was excellent. The group was dropped off in front of Lacock Abbey which made it easy for us, and they gave us very clear directions for when and where to meet. Our driver was able to make great time, giving us plenty of time to explore. Our guide (Carol I believe) was enjoyable and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour, mostly for the Stonehenge access.
Excellent trip to Stonehenge at sunset and being able to walk in amongst the rocks when no one else was around. The trip also included Bath and the Roman Baths and a beautiful traditional lunch in an old pub in Lacock ( additional expense). Our guide was caring and provided a wealth of information throughout the day and the driver was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
The guide and driver were excellent. Being able to go into the inner circle of Stonehenge is quite special. I would highly recommend this tour!
This was one of the best tours I've been on, the tour guide and driver we're excellent, very informative, and genuinely nice people. Going inside the circle was mind blowing!! Bath is a lovely place and Lacock a very cute English village. I cannot recommend this tour enough
I am so happy I chose to take this trip! The tour guide (Frank) and driver (Clive) were fantastic and a great funny duo! At one point Clive had jumped on the mic while driving to talk to us. Great team! About the tour itself... Bath was amazing we had such a beautiful day to explore the city and see the bath itself. Very informative audio tours are included which was nice. Make sure you get out and actually explore bath! The town was easy to navigate and is really beautiful don't miss it! Stonehenge was phenomenal... I did not really know what to expect but I took the afternoon tour "sunset" booking time and I highly suggest it! To my surprise we had arrived and I found out that the site was closed but was open for private viewings. I was expecting more groups like mine to be out there and there weren't!! It was just us!!!! I was shocked! Our guide broke us up into two groups so it would be a more intimate group less crowd to actually go inside the site. It was absolutely phenomenal. I really can't speak enough about it. Lacock- This town was soo cute! It was a nice ending of the day trip. I liked how our tour guide walked us around as well. I had opted to go find food separate from the group but found out on arrival at the restaurant that they had ran out of food. So just FYI just stick with the group to eat. =]
Our family totally enjoyed the trip. We have 3 kids age 10 to 15, and we all had a blast. Bath was really charming, and it would have been nice to have a little more time there. Stonehenge is breathtaking. Our guide Frank and driver Clive were super informative and kept us laughing all day!
Accessing the inner circle was amazing. I didnt mind that they broke the group in half as this allowed for better pictures and the time inside was sufficient to really get a feel for the scale of the site. The breakfast was good but I could have done with more time in bath instead. It was a little short and there wasnt enough time to take the whole audio tour. If Id planned better, Id have opted to stay and take a train back instead of the bus. Overall, well worth the money.
See Stonehenge at sunset when you and your fellow Viator companions (~45) are the only people there. You walk within the monument. Our tour director was outstanding.
Our guide was outstanding, filling in information as we went to each stop. Bath was ok, a bit touristy. Lunch was nice and Stonehenge was special at sunset. Worth it!!
This tour comprises a quick visits to the city of Bath, where you'll have to choose to go over the Roman baths historical site and museum which I recommend to do or go around to other spots in the city centre. If you're thinking of grabbing food, a quick snack will do, it's really a nice little place to have a walk and see as much as possible. The second stop is a visit to Lacock with a quick tour is not a big place and the guide will show you what you must know about the place, such as some historical background and the spot which were used for the Harry Potter movies, you'll stop to have lunch and carry on. The Highlight though, comes at the end or first thing in the morning if you take the early visit to Stonehenge, where you'll be taken to the site before or after everyone else is gone and you'll be allow into the stone circle which is normally closed for everyone else this for me was the best, this impressive stone walls which have plagued thousands of stories and theories are definitely worth to see up close. The guides were very knowledgable and stayed with the group the whole time, with the exception of Bath where you are given the choice of what to visit
