Ahmad was a great tour guide...we highly recommend him. The entire West Bank tour was great especially the granite factory
If you see nothing else in Egypt you MUST do this tour. Our guide was amazing and the chance to see King Tut in him tomb is amazing. I was under the weather in the morning of this tour and my husband said we shouldnt go, but I was not missing my opportunity to see the Valley of the Kings and King Tut.
Great cultural way to see the Luxor West Bank and Valley of the Kings. You need to purchase additional ticket to see King Tut's mummy but well worth it. No photos allowed inside of the tombs. Bring sun glasses for Hatshepsut Temple. The Stone is beautiful and white but blinding without glasses.
Mike and his driver picked me up from the hotel on time we drove the 40 mins to the Valley then past a few more sights and Hatshepsut temple then dropped of back at the hotel. I enjoyed the guided tour thank you. P.S PRE WARNING WHEN YOU ARE DOWN THE TOMBS IN THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS THE STAFF ARE PUSHEY FOR TIPS I NOTICED THEM BLOCKING IN TOURISTS DEMANDING MONEY BECAUSE THEY HAD SAID HELLO OR POINTED AT SOMETHING ON THE WALL.
Loved it! Our tour guide Yolanda arrived early and we were off to see Luxor. Yolanda was very knowledgeable and answered our questions about the area, the locals and religion without hesitation. We were also able to cover more of the area by having a private tour guide and driver. As a photographer, I appreciated being about to pull off to the side of the road for photographs. Overall, my wife and received good value by hiring a private guide like Yolanda. We'll contact her again when we return to Egypt!
An amazing experience, walking around Valley of the Kings, seeing the mummy of Tutankhamun and his tomb, as well as 3 other tombs. We all know the stories from the first days of world history class, and now finally being able to see it first hand is just amazing. Hatshepsut temple is also very nice, with part of it carved into the mountainside like Petra in Jordan. Again, it was a pleasure to be there with very few other people. Now is the time to go before the crowds come back!
This tour is to be highly recommended.
We had a few problems that left us with a very stressful experience. First of all, at the time of booking we had requested the tour to be at 10:00AM. Even tough you request it, it does not seem to matter. The following are the list of problems we had: 1 Appointment time: Once Viator assigns a travel company our was assigned to Sinai travel they put considerable pressure on us to leave early like around 8AM. I had to stand my ground firmly and re iterate that we had asked for 10AM. The reasons they give is long lines, unable to finish on time etc. We finally after pushing back on them left at 10AM and there were NO long lines, NO waiting anywhere and we finished the tour well ahead of schedule. They essentially lied or were making up reasons so that they could take on the tours. 2 Drop off point: The agreement says that you will be dropped off back to the hotel or where you were picked up. Our tour guide and driver thought of making some extra money and asked for additional to be dropped back to the hotel saying that our tour ends at the Valley of the Kings. I had to pull up the contract and make an argument to being dropped off to the hotel. Again, not a pleasant experience. 3 It looks like this Sinai travel Company does not pay its guides and drivers well. There is is tremendous pressure on you to make up to your guide and driver with gratuities. Not a pleasant experience at all. Overall, I would not recommend this tour company. Please note that each individuals experience is highly dependent on who your local tour operator/guide is allocated. We had 2 tours with this company, One in Luxor and One in Cairo. Cairo was slightly better and Luxor was bad.
Amazing day and great guide. It was our first time the west bank of the river nile in Luxor and it was one to remember.
