We stayed for a little less than a week in Morocco and this was for sure the highlight of our trip. The tour guide was so friendly and we felt like part of family at our rest stop to the Atlas Mountains filled with the grape arboretum, fresh bread and tea! It was part of an obligatory argan oil stop but we didn't care as there was no pressure and it was just a joy to be there. The five senses on the road trip were awesome...and then we began our trip up the hills to the waterfalls and through the mountains with the fleet of foot Ibrahim. Would highly recommend bringing lots of water, maybe a couple of snacks, some spare tissues, and good hiking boots and perhaps your speedos to enjoy a refreshing dip in the mountain pool! The lunch stop at the quiet family run mountain-side site was awesome...the view was spectacular and the service just right and much appreciated! All in all, a lovely tour and we would recommend it to anyone!
We loved our day traveling to Imlil Valley! The hiking was fun and beautiful. We enjoyed the waterfalls and buying orange juice from a local entrepreneur who set up a stand near the waterfall. The camel ride was perfect, not to long not to short... we had so much fun and got some awesome photos.
Fabulous trip which really made our visit to Marrakech. Picked up by Omar who was very informative and stopped along the way to show us various sights. Offered to stop whenever we wanted to take pictures. Arrived at Imlil where Ibrahim took over as our guide for the rest of the trip. Very good at explaining history of the Berber people and what we would be doing. He was funny, engaging and tempered the walk to our level so we never felt out of our depth. Lunch was a real surprise, much better than we expected and very welcome. Stopped on the way back to ride the camels which again was a great experience. Only reason I haven't given five stars is that we didn't get any bottled water which was supposed to be offered. Very minor niggle.
My friend and I visited Morocco for a short holiday. This was the only day we spent outside of Marrakesh and it was amazing. The scenery was beautiful and our guides were very sweet and knowledgeable. The trek was relatively intense if you are afraid of heights like me, but our guide was very trustworthy and helped me through a few sections, make sure you wear sneaker/hiking boots! Lunch was quite good and picturesque as well. Camel ride was also fun! Highly recommend.
The Best Day of our holiday....thanks to Ibrahim our Berber mountain trek guide. After a long and hot, chaotic drive from our Marrakech hotel to the Imlil Valley 2 hour drive by 'crazy' Omar in his 4 wheel drive, we were greeted by the lovely Ibrahim, which was a breath of fresh air! Ibrahim came across as an extremely intelligent, kind and enthusiastic man. He appeared to have only one mission to make our walk in the valley and trek 2000 meters up the mountain as enjoyable for us all as possible. My 12 year old son Henry really bonded with Ibrahim as he they had a good rapport. When we finished the tour, Ibrahim gave us each a necklace made locally as a momento, which we all thought was a lovely gesture. Thanks Ibrahim! The lunch in the valley was delightful really tasty but far more food than we could eat. On the way back, Omar stopped in a village where we had a 10 minute camel ride....however, this was disappointing as we were expecting a longer time. Overall, an amazing tour and would highly recommend that anyone booking this tour should ensure they are booked with Ibrahim.
