Madero de Ciudad de México. I am so happy I chose this private tour ! It was sooooo awesome ! Ramon y Claudia exceeded my expectations and were amazing ! Very friendly , knowledgeable and full of smiles ! If ever in Mexico City , trust me, book this ! I can’t thank viator and my tour guides enough! Loved it !
We had a blast during our trip Teotihuacán and Guadalupe shrine with two great guides A lot of learning and an amazing way to discover these two beautiful sites
We had a wonderful day with our guide Jose Luis our driver Eliseo. They were perfectly on time and comfortably drove us from place to place. Both were very knowledgeable and we've talked about millions of things, learning about each others cultures. Jose Luis was a great and patient guide, he has a very pleasant way of talking, informative, entertaining and interactive. We visited the Square of Three Culture, the Teoticuacan pyramides and it's palaces with incredibly well-preserved murals and had a typical Mexican menu for lunch close by. On our way to the pyramids we visited a place were we tried tequila, mezcal and pulque and learned some cool facts about agave and the stone that was used in the area in the time the pyramids were build. There is a shop as well, and some may call it a tourist trap, but we really enjoyed learning about all the cool facts and it's up to you if you buy something or not, no pressure :-) We had plenty of time at the pyramids! The Guadalupe Shrine was another highlight. I really recommend seeing everything there is to see. Go up to the little church and make the full loop before entering the modern breathtaking basilica! We are very thankful for a great day and highly recommend this tour!
Extremely pleased with the private tour. We have a toddler and my wife is pregnant so I wanted to take a tour tailored to our pace. Arturo was very accommodating to our needs giving us plenty of time to enjoy the sites and places. Additionally he presented himself professionally, dressing in a casual business suit, and gave a very thorough synopsis of Teotihuacan and Mexican history overall. This tour is worth it for those wanting a personalized pace to your tour.
My sister, my 7 year old son and I took this private tour last week. The guide and driver came right on time at our hotel with a very clean big air-conditioned van. The driver had a cooler with a lot of cold water (very welcoming when it's very hot out) and other drinks. Our guide Carlos was very courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He kept a close watch on my 7 year old and even held his hand while climbing up the pyramid and down. We never felt rushed nor pushed into activities we didn't want to partake in. It almost felt like we dictated the pace. Lunch was very good with spectacular views of the pyramid. On the way to the Guadalupe Shrine, given that I love churches, we even made a quick stop along the way at a deserted old church and Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the place being a history student. I would highly recommend Carlos any time and for their other day tours.
Our guide Ramon was hugely informative and answered all our questions. The tour took us to 3 wonderful places and lunch was delicious. Chris the driver was also lovely and a safe driver. The tour may seem more expensive than other however I would not hesitate to reccomend this tour to anyone, it was well worth it. The final stop at the guadalupe shrine was a fantastic end to the day. Thank you to Ramon and Chris for a fabulous day out.
Really enjoyed this tour. The guide was knowledgable and very thoughtful about how she organized the information. For example, she threw in a short stop at the Plaza of the Three Cultures on the way out of the city, which tied together the Guadalupe shrine (because the Plaza is where Juan Diego ran to tell the Spanish about his visit) and the Teotihuacan culture which is also represented there. The driver was also competent and the trip was comfortable and felt very safe. I would highly recommend if you would like to see a lot in a day, without the difficulties of trying to organize by yourself.
Our guide, Brenda did an excellent wth her presentation and spoke very good EnglishHer knowledge of the history of México City as well as the culture of Teotihuacán made the trip more special. Ew enjoyed the personal four of the Shrine and her historical knowledge. We also had a great driver, Christian. We highly recommend this personalized venture.
My driver Arturo and my English speaking guide was Brenda. Both were great and provided an in depth tour and the lunch was great. Thanks I will ask for Brenda and Arturo again in the future
This was probably the best tour we have ever taken! If you're hesitating ... don't! Carlos, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgable and friendly. His english was perfect and explained all to us in detailed fashion. Luis, our driver, and Carlos arrived on time to pick us up at our hotel. We immediately proceeded to visit our first site, the Tlatelolco ruins, the place where Aztec culture came to an end and modern Mexico began. On the way to the site, Carlos gave us a great primer on Mexican/pre-Columbian history. From there we headed to an artesian workshop where we learned of the many practical uses of the maguey plant. We also tried drinks derived from the maguey: nectar juice, pulque and tequila! Soon after we visited the Teotihuacan pyramids about an hour away...fantastic! After climbing both the pyramid of the sun and the moon in the company of Carlos, we headed out to lunch nearby where we had typical Mexican dishes from the region including chicken mixiote, very delicious. Finally, we headed to the Virgin of Guadalupe Basilica. Again, Carlos explained the significance of the shrine and the meaning of the Virgin to Mexican culture. I also want to add that Luis drove perfectly...we felt completely safe at all times. Overall, great experience, great tour!
Carlos and Ana were amazing! Not only friendly, but knowledge abounds! It was a wonderful experience to have this private tour!
Carlos is one of the most knowledgeable, intellectually curious, and highly articulate tour guides I've ever encountered. I booked a private tour for myself, my husband, and my parents, and it was well worth it. Carlos customized our experience, spending more time in areas we were really interested in, and answering all our questions about everything under the sun. Would highly recommend - request for Carlos!
