Diríjase a High Line para comenzar este emocionante recorrido turístico de 3,5 horas a pie por el parque elevado y el famoso Greenwich Village. Quedará deslumbrado por High Line. Antaño una línea de ferrocarril elevada para carga que recorría toda la zona del oeste de Manhattan, cayó en desuso y finalmente fue abandonada en la década de los setenta. Allí permaneció sin usar durante décadas hasta que un grupo de lugareños, con algunas celebridades involucradas por una buena causa, comenzó un movimiento para convertirlo en un parque.
Como podrá ver durante su recorrido a pie, lo lograron. La primera de tres fases se completó en 2009. En septiembre del 2014, se abrió la tercera y última fase para completar un parque con 2,4 km (1,5 millas) de longitud que pueden disfrutar por igual los turistas y los lugareños.

Cuando haya llegado al final, en Meatpacking District, baje las escaleras y conozca Greenwich Village, uno de los barrios más históricos de Nueva York y más exclusivos. The tour was fun and interesting, and the food was great! French pastries, chocolates, Bleeker Street Pizza, Bantam bagels, Rocco's cappuccino and cannoli, and Italian subs – wow! Each food selection was the best of NYC. Our tour guide Annabel was absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge of the neighborhoods, buildings, shops, and history was outstanding, but it was her personality that made the tour. She is full of energy and incredibly knowledgeable, and she brings everyone in the tour together. We live in NJ and are in NYC all the time for dinner, theater, shopping and events. We didn’t think we would learn anything new, but we did! It was a great tour - whether you are new to NYC or have lived here for years. Don’t miss this experience. We’re sending all of our friends.

This was a great way to see the High Line and sample the fantastic Greenwich Village food scene. Jillian is knowledgeable and fun and really seems to enjoy sharing the city with visitors. I highly recommend this tour!

Annabelle provided great information on the history, architecture, and culture around Highline park. She is extremely knowledgeable and responsive to questions. We enjoyed pizza, chocolates, french confections and italian cannolis! We have taken food tours in a number of cities and this ranks among the best. Highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our tour with Jillian. She is not only knowledgable with historic landmarks but also makes the whole experience fun with her personality. She shares her personal experiences as a New Yorker, which gives you a glimpse of what day to day living is like in the big apple. You definitely leave the tour feeling like you made a new local friend. Be prepared to eat because there will be tons of delicious food on this tour.

Awesome adventure with Alex as our guide! Have traveled to the City many times and have explored on my own. But having Alex point out and share all kinds of information was worth every penny we paid! Knowledgeable, personable and kept the day very interesting and fun. And when the tour was over I couldn't eat another bite! Can't wait to visit city and take another tour!
