We did not liked this tour, was very very expensive for what it was: just the transportarion to Dresden, you can take the train for just 5 euros. Our guide was really kind, but she was not able to give valid and clear wxplanations (she is more than 80 years old). She explained a pair of things on the way and when arrived to Dresden gave ys entrances to the museum and she waitied outside!!! I was expecting a tour with guide, one already paid since Prague and very expensive. Not worth it at all
I am not sure where to start with this review. First, I emailed 5 times to confirm this trip and never got a response once! Our hotel had to call and confirm for us. Upon pick up and going to the main meeting location, we picked up a family that could not have been more annoying and ruined the trip overall! The older mother, along with her middle aged son, were so chatty during the tour guides talks that she literally had to ask her twice to be quiet, which never worked. The chatty family ruined the whole experience for all on the bus. Like the tour guide said to her, we paid to hear her talk about history and the sights and all we heard her do was teach her granddaughters german and talk about their recent time in Paris. If you wanted to be that rude to others around you, hire your own private tour! They were so rude and I've never had a trip like this ruined by such rude people! The tour guide herself was OK in the end, but spent way too much time trying to get people to do the VAT tax return forms. We get it after the first time, it didn't need to be explained over and over and over again. She was a bit over the top and felt a bit unorganized as we walked all over the place in circles sometimes. In Dresden, the gallery we paid for to see was closed and that was disappointing. Don't offer a tour on a day when you sell the gallery and you know it's going to be closed on Monday's. Very disappointed in this trip.
They let a 1 year old baby on this trip that all he did was kick and scream for hours on the bus to and from. That shouldn’t be allowed. Expect to not have much of a “tour” either. It’s really just transportation to and from Dresden for a couple hours there to eat and walk around.
Great driver and our guide was wonderful as well. Enjoyed the tour although I was feeling ill. My guide help me get some OTC medicine to help me feel better. I'm sorry I can't remember her name as she was just so nice! Dresden was gorgous...beautiful, historic buildings...we loved it!
Amazing day tour from Prague to Dresden... Tour guide is very professional and explaining all the history to us... Dresden is a small town but is worth taking a trip there... really enjoy !
This was the biggest disappointment I have ever had from a tour company. It felt disorganized, the guide and the driver disinterested and the worst part was we did not get what was described in the inclusions. I booked the tour the day before online and called to confirm hotel pick up, I was told that was impossible because the driver was already picking up others from their hotels and would not have time to get us. Ok, I could accept that if it were true. When got ourselves to the meeting point and found another person waiting for the tour and an other couple. So apparently the driver hadnt been busy getting anyone from their hotel. The Five of us were driven to Dresden in a small mini van to Dresden while the guide remained silent. From the description, I was under the impression were were going to get some history during the drive. After a stop so the driver could get some lunch, which the rest of us used for a bathroom break we continued to Dresden. Upon arrival we exited the mini van and followed the guide to the Green Vault. The guide bought us tickets and left after we entered the first floor exhibit. The five of us walked through and met in the reception hall for over an hour not knowing where our guide was. We were told the guide had bought the least expensive tickets and although there were 3 floors we were only allowed in the first floor. One of the couples said they thought she said she was going to meet us there in two hours. The guide spoke so softly and did not make sure we all had an understanding of the itinerary. We were all confused as to what the agenda was supposed to be. Upon her return I asked her why we had been left there so long and all that time was wasted. She ignored my question and asked if we enjoyed the upstairs exhibits and I informed her she bought the wrong tickets. She said I must have misunderstood the staff there because she said she bought the full tour. I went to the ticket window and confirmed she in fact only bought the partial tour. When I explained that to our guide she didnt even apologize for her error. We then left the there and took a short walk around the historic part of the city, which was beautiful, as she explained a few things about the city and then walked to lunch. I asked at lunch what was the itinerary for the rest of the day and she said were were done and would be driving home after lunch. I asked about the other Zwinger gallery that was part of the tour and was told it was closed today. Northing was offered as a substitution and no disclosure was made that it may be closed until I asked. We also didnt see the Blue Bridge, not sure what we missed there. And finally no free time to shop or wonder on our own. This was almost a total waste of money and a waste of precious time in Europe. I should also mention the driver was an impatient driver and would abruptly break an accelerate. Not fun in a tiny mini van. Grayline should be embarrassed about this excursion. Im glad others had a positive experience but for the five of us, it was a bad experience. Btw no bathroom break on the way back to Prague, it seemed to be a race to get us back so the guide and driver could be done with their day. Take a train save yourself the money!
