Este asombroso recorrido comienza en un rancho convenientemente situado en el corazón de Bávaro. Todos los pasajeros recibirán instrucciones de seguridad y funcionamiento de los vehículos antes del recorrido. Los invitados conducirán su propio buggy automático al estilo de una caravana y seguirán al guía de la excursión, quién dirigirá al grupo.
El "Trayecto Flintstones Buggy" tiene una longitud de 10 kilómetros y le lleva por una gran variedad de vegetación y formaciones rocosas y de montaña. El sendero lleva directamente a través de la campiña, donde podrá ver burros, vacas, caballos, ovejas y cerdos.
Después de unos 25 minutos de conducción, el recorrido tiene su primera parada en una casa típica dominicana y el "colmado" (un pequeño supermercado) local, donde los participantes pueden degustar un poco de café y cacao auténticos dominicanos. Sumérjase en la cultura dominicana mientras se une a los lugareños del campo que realizan sus compras diarias. Nadie le pedirá que compre, pero si necesita algo de comida o productos locales puede aprovechar, ya que los precios son realmente baratos.
20 minutos más tarde, el recorrido continuará fuera de carretera y estará rodeado de unas vistas sencillamente impresionantes. Pasará por casas coloridas y por el paisaje sobrecogedor de las plantaciones de plátanos y cultivos. Esta es la verdadera República Dominicana. Aquí el sendero es aún más "duro" y "salvaje" y hay unas vistas espectaculares de los "acantilados" que se han formado durante millones de años.
El recorrido continúa hasta la llegada a la "Cueva de la Fantasía". En primer lugar, entre en la cueva y camine casi hasta el final a través de imponentes y enormes estalactitas y estalagmitas iluminadas. Aprenderá sobre la leyenda de la "princesa escondida" y todos sus secretos. No se trata de una cueva pública, por lo que es solo se permite el acceso a su recorrido. Se trata de una experiencia realmente auténtica. En la cueva, sentirá los baches y la superficie irregular de la ruta. Han sido mínimos los cambios realizados en la cueva, de manera que mantiene su autenticidad y belleza natural.
Después de explorar la "Cueva de la Fantasía", subirá las escaleras hacia Bedrock City (Piedradura). Bedrock City es otro grupo de cuevas que se encuentran por encima de la gran cueva, una combinación poco común y, por tanto, muy única. ¿Por qué se llama "Bedrock City"? Aquí podrá ver la casa de Pedro Picapiedra, el garaje con el troncomóvil y mucho más.
Después de pasar unos 35 minutos en el interior de la cueva, será el momento de volver. Con el sol en la cara y del viento en su pelo, conducirá el buggy por las dunas al aire libre de regreso al rancho. Aquí, los clientes tendrán la oportunidad de comprar las fotos del recorrido y otros recuerdos, o de disfrutar de una bebida con sabor dominicano en el bar.

Loved the trip... 2 things 1. Bring bandanas 2. Bring wrap around eye wear . very dusty I have been on many in other areas and this ride is VERY DUSTY the caves are amazing the scenes on the ride are amazing. Must do!

We very much enjoyed the dune buggies. It was a very fun ride and definitely got muddy. The coffee we tasted was the best we ever had and the caves were very cool. Loved the Flintstones theme cave

You will get dirty but it's a great bumpy fun ride. The extra cave tour was great as well. Awesome! !

I highly recommend this excursion. My family stayed in Punta Cana for a week and took two excursions. We took this Buggy adventure excursion and the Four Adventures excursion. In my opinion, going on one excursion on the water and one excursion on the land was a great decision. We have teenage sons and they thoroughly enjoyed both excursions. - On the Buggy excursion you drive a two man dune buggy or a four man family buggy through the Dominican country side. While the group does stay together and you are not allowed to pass each other, you get to drive surprisingly fast on the straighter roads. Some of the roads are quite bumpy. But it is enjoyable navigating them. You do make several rest stops along the way so you can change drivers if you want to make sure everybody in your family gets a turn driving. But, frankly, being a passenger is also very enjoyable as you get to look around more. The stop at a local residence was very enjoyable with a nice tour of the residence and a cup of coffee. You can sample some the foods like bananas and plantains and coffee. Be careful if they ask if you want to taste one of the chile peppers. They are tiny but crazy hot. In the middle of the drive you get to stop at a cave and walk through it. The cave is awesome and surprisingly deep. No need to worry about small spaces. The cave is huge and you will not get claustrophobic. -- When you return to the buggy ranch there is a nice little shop where you can purchase some of the usual trinkets. But you can also sit down and drink a bottle of water while watching the pictures and videos the guides took while you were driving. The picture are great and you will definitely want to purchase them. In the end, I think pairing this excursion with the Four Adventures excursion was a great combination. Definitely 5 stars for both excursions.

A lot of fun! The buggies are safely put together and do pack a bit of a punch. The trail is mostly gravel and mud you will get splashed but this is part of the enjoyment make sure you wear clothes that you don't care much about. The cave at the end is very beautiful with some truly disturbing Flintstones characters. Overall very good.

Our guide Ivan Rosales and his assistant were extremely pleasant and quite knowledgible about anything we had a question about, whether it pertained to the terrain, plants, cave dwellings, etc., etc. Great sense of humor also. The dune buggies supplied are primarily open with a roll cage and were quite capable with regard to acceleration and handling the rough terrain. Just in case of a mechanical problem which we did not have, a mechanic follows in another buggy. I would certainly recommend this excursion over others that claim to be similar. We spoke to some folks at our resort with regard to their experiences with other tours...and they all seemed dissappointed that they did not join us instead. Make sure you bring goggles and a scarf to cover your face from the dust. Also consider bringing a couple of shower caps from your resort to put on your head under the helmets supplied. Just a precaution as my wife is paranoid about getting cooties from someone else's head This is a total thumbs up tour!!!
