Únase a nuestro recorrido por la búsqueda de las luces del norte (aurora boreal). El servicio de recogida comienza a las 20.30 h y la excursión sale a las 21.00 h desde la sala de conciertos Harpa en el centro de Reikiavik. Partirá en un autobús con aproximadamente 33 a 55 asientos y trataremos de llevar un máximo de 2 autobuses juntos por noche en cada parada para no estar abarrotados.La duración de la excursión varía, pero suele ser de entre 3 y 5 horas. Depende de cuándo y si las luces aparecen y qué tan lejos se necesite conducir para encontrar el cielo despejado. Como la noche puede ser larga y fría habrá chocolate caliente para entrar en calor.

Todos los días, después de las 17.00 h, se decide si las condiciones son favorables para realizar la excursión, publicamos la decisión en nuestra página de Facebook y enviamos un correo electrónico a todos los principales mostradores de excursión y recepciones de hotel.
Si no se puede ver la aurora boreal, le ofrecemos a los pasajeros realizar el viaje de nuevo de forma gratuita. Si no se puede ver la aurora boreal la segunda o tercera vez, ofrecemos a los pasajeros un bono para un viaje gratuito que es válido por tres años.
Si reserva una excursión para ver la aurora boreal, pero las condiciones no nos permiten realizarla durante su estancia, le devolveremos el importe total.
Tenga en cuenta que si se cancela la excursión o si no puede ver las luces debe reprogramar su visita al contactar directamente al operador local. Las excursiones no se reprograman automáticamente.

The tour guide was very knowledgable and explained the reasoning behind the northern lights. We were probably out on the bus for about 4 hours, making two stops. Hot chocolate was included with the tour which was a nice touch. If you do not see the lights on your tour you are allowed to come back for a second night.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Our tour guide was amazing and made sure we saw the northern lights by traveling to multiple spots until we finally saw them. The hot chocolate was a great addition to the cold night.

Easy pickup and drop off from stop 12 across from our hotel STORM Our rep on the bus was very informative. Didn't see the lights on our first night but not without trying. Very cold but the hot chocolate was really nice. We were too tired the 2nd night so plumbed for the 3rd night. Although the skies were clear and you could see the stars clearly we were told unless there is solar activity then there wouldn't be much chance. However we did spot some activity not all singing and dancing but glad after all the effort we could actually see some. Thrilled as we were giving up hope on this occasion too. I used a phone app and my husband had better settings on his camera.

We only saw a few greenish clouds and a few pale wisps overhead which, we were informed, had been Northern Lights burned out. Our tour operator suggested everyone call to re-schedule this trip for a future night free-of-charge but the next night the weather was too bad and they cancelled it. That was the only chance we had to take advantage of the free excursion promised. No refund was offered or given.

We weren't able to see the lights, but this wasn't due to the guides lack of trying- they were fantastic. We went twice- the second time caught the lights on time lapse camera. The hot chocloate and doughnuts were a real treat on cold nights!
