Después de dirigirse al lugar de encuentro a las 17.30 h, hora de salida, el grupo saldrá en este recorrido de 4 horas a pie desde la más vibrante y dinámica plaza de Roma: Campo de' Fiori. Aquí, entre los bulliciosos cafés y músicos callejeros, se reunirá con su guía. Justo a tiempo para el "aperitivo" italiano, saboreará una selección de gastronomía italiana de salamis artesanales, tan especial que cuentan con indicación geográfica protegida (IGP). Esto estará acompañado, por supuesto, de la primera cata de esta excursión por el buen vino del país.
Mientras pasea por el centro de la ciudad, su guía divulgará la extraña y maravillosa historia de la zona antes de probar su próxima delicia culinaria: el queso. La histórica tienda que visitaremos también cuenta con quesos con protección IGP de distintos orígenes italianos que se verán complementado por un vino cuidadosamente seleccionado. También nos proporcionarán una especialidad romana que debe probar: el bacalao salado frito o "baccalà fritto".
La inmersión en la cocina local continuará con una degustación de otros dos alimentos típicos romanos: pizza en porciones y supplì. Su guía le llevará a dos restaurantes que se especializan en la producción de estos manjares italianos, donde estos nuevos sabores y aromas serán inolvidables para su paladar.
Después de un paseo para digerir esos deliciosos manjares, casi estará listo para cenar en uno de los restaurantes más acogedores de la zona de Trastevere. Conocido por la calidad de su gastronomía, se considera que este barrio cuenta con los mejores restaurantes de Roma. Aquí, el grupo saboreará un exquisito plato de entremeses y dos primeros platos romanos, acompañados por dos vinos italianos diferentes de producción y origen protegidos. Por último terminará el recorrido en Trastevere probando deliciosos helados italianos hechos localmente en sabores típicos de esta famosa heladería o "gelateria". El recorrido concluirá en torno a las 21.30 h.
Al final del recorrido, no solo se sentirá contento y lleno de buena comida y vino, se habrá sumergido en la cocina italiana, una parte fundamental de la vida en Roma. Se sentirá mucho más parte de la ciudad de lo que nunca habría imaginado.

My wife and I took this tour 4 hours after landing in Rome and it was awesome. Adrian (sp?) was a fantastic guide, giving us enough history to keep us interested but never overwhelming. The tour really gave us a great sense of the city and the confidence to navigate it ourselves the following days. We toured several different neighborhoods, tried many different wines, cheeses and then finished up with a sit down dinner. Our group was wonderful and we really got the chance to connect with everyone due to the small size. Would definitely recommend!

Adrian was our guide and he was amazing (VERY knowledgeable)...covering all the details and history about the neighborhoods we walked through, the foods we tasted and what to do during our visit. I highly recommend this tour for your first day/night in Rome!

Don't hesitate to take this tour! We did this on our first night in Rome, and it was the best decision we could have made in terms of giving us a lay of the land and a taste of the food in this great city! Marcello was excellent! He took us to so many amazing places that we would have never discovered on our own. Our sons are 21 and 24 and they loved the tour as well. Marcello was really informative and told us some great stories. He also gave some great recommendations on where to eat during our stay. We went to a gelato place that he recommended every night of our stay! Take the tour. You will not be disappointed!

If you haven't been to Rome or even if you have and want a great night, you NEED to do this tour. Even if the light rainy weather, we had a blast. Marcello I believe that was his name - half German half Italian guide was a great host. Took us to unique places to try some delicious local food and even had a few jokes along the way that were actually funny unlike other guides. You will eat A LOT so be sure to bring an empty stomach. By the last stop of the tour, we were all so full but didn't want to stop eating the tasty food. The group was an intimate one with about 13 of us. We made friends along the way and about 6 of us went out for drinks when the tour was over. Seriously, I highly recommend this and you will absolutely get your money's worth.

The walk thru Rome in the evening was delightful. The group was a perfect size and the guide was very knowledgeable with an excellent rapport with the group. The foods tasted and shared were abundant and delicious, however, for a wine tasting also the wines were average at best. In my opinion the wine tasted with the meats was the best the others were mediocre. As a tour of foods it was superb as to wines dont have high expectations!

The tour was fantastic. We had a lovely group of seven and Marchello was wonderful. Make sure you go hungry- you literally try it all! We loved the supli rice balls and zucchini flowers, but you try everything from meats, wines, cheeses, different pasta and pizza and gelato. Thanks for a great tour!
