We truly enjoyed our experience. We learned great history of the North Beach area. Went to great restaurants. I would highly recommend. Get drink package also. Dominick and Margarit were so nice and friendly. Also met two fun couples!

Had a great time exploring different restaurants along North Beach and Chinatown! Our guide Wilda was super energetic and engaging. You could tell she really enjoys her job and wanted to share the history of the neighborhood and restaurants with you. It’s not easy getting a group of strangers from a teenager to retirees talking to each other, but she made it happen! The tour included two apps, an entree and dessert. The food was pretty delicious and was definitely glad that some walking was involved! It was also nice that we were able to explore Alcatraz in the morning and still had a few hours to chill before the food tour. Next time I would upgrade to include wine and beer pairings as well. Definitely worth the price.

We could not get alcatraz tickets alone so opted for the combo tour alcatraz/culinary tour. Alcatraz tour was so interesting and informative. A real highlight of our trip. The culinary tour was very fun! Part of our tour included Pena PachaMama restaurant. We had a delicious food and amazing stories from the owners. They played music for us and invited my 15 year old daughter to come on the stage and play bongos! The rest of us got up and sang and danced. An amazing experience!

We reserved this tour because it was one of the few remaining options for seeing Alcatraz on our vacation. Alcatraz was as awesome as we imagined; the food tour with Arolina (sp?) far exceeded expectations, not just because the menus were tasty but also because her personality and narration, along with the history and storytelling provided by the restaurateurs, were so entertaining. So glad we were “stuck” seeing Alcatraz through the Viator combination tour. It’s been a highlight of our trip so far.

In my search to find tickets to visit alcatraz on short notice I took a suggestion from other travelers to look at tours that included Alcatraz. I had never been on a food tour before but since we were only in San Francisco for a short time I thought it would be a great way to see Alcatraz and not worry about finding a place to eat. My expectations were exceeded in every way. The company was quick to answer email questions after booking the tour. The tour itself was fantastic. Our tour guide, Margarita, was outstanding! She made North Beach come alive with her stories and history of the area and the restaurants we visited. She made everyone on the tour feel welcome and engaged. Will definitely book a tour with Viator in the future. Worth the price! This was an amazing and fun expierence! We started at Alcatraz which is phenomenal! Then we did this tour which our tour guide Margarita was such a joy to talk to! She brought us to some very unique restaurants with authentic Italian foods and some beautiful history with very famous people. It was definitely worth it and I would recommend booking this tour!

What an amazing experience for us and our two teenage daughters! Our culinary tour guide, Tolan, was the best! She was so fun to talk with and is very knowledgeable about the area. We not only went to fantastic restaurants, but also saw and learned really interesting things about the city. Although we booked this tour for the Alcatraz tickets, the culinary experience easily could stand on its own as a highlight of our trip!
