El río Pacuare es una de las mejores opciones para sus caminatas de aventura en Costa Rica.
No es un río muy desafiante, pero tiene muchos rápidos, lo que le da una aventura llena de diversión. El recorrido de 29 km (18 millas) de un día incluye un total de 52 rápidos. Pocos ríos en el mundo pueden ofrecer tantos.
Al llegar al río, póngase un chaleco salvavidas, casco y remo, y luego asista a una charla de orientación de seguridad. A continuación, es el momento de lanzarse por los rápidos.
Los primeros 6 km (4 millas) serán de diversión de clase II-III que pondrá a prueba sus habilidades en el río y confianza en su equipo. Aquí podrá encontrar los tramos de hermosos bosques de crecimiento secundario. Después de unos 40 minutos, entrará en el famoso desfiladero del río Pacuare, un tramo de 8 km (5 millas) de algunas de las mejores aguas blancas que Costa Rica tiene para ofrecer. Los rápidos aquí son "Terciopelo Snake", "Double Drop", "Upper and Lower Huacas" y "Pin Ball", por nombrar algunos. También podrá ver la catarata Huacas, una dramática caída de 45 m (150 pies) en el río.
Después de la quebrada, los ríos se abren hasta un tramo de 8 km (5 millas) en el Valle del Pacuare, donde el río tiene un carácter diferente. Está abierto de par en par, lo que le da la oportunidad de descansar un poco y aprovechar la oportunidad para hacer algunos avistamientos de la fauna y flora. Los principales rápidos aquí son "Cimarrones", "The Play Hole", "El Indio" y "Magnetic Rock". El bosque sigue siendo exuberante y los rápidos son igual de divertidos.
Finalizará en Siquirres, donde podrá darse una ducha, cambiarse de ropa y disfrutar de los jardines y la terraza mientras toma una cerveza o dos y reflexiona con sus nuevos amigos sobre la gran aventura que acaba de compartir.

We booked this Tour because the Pacuare River is among the top rivers in the world to do rafting. When the guide picked us up in the morning, he told us that he is not sure if we will be able to do the rafting on that river. At 10 finally came the announcement that it was impossible to raft the river, so they brought us to another river which was in terms of rafting not exciting at all. What made me mad was that our guide during rafting told us that it has been like that for already 2 days, so they could have told us that when booking the ticket we booked one day before and finally what made me the most made was that they told us at the end that the day after it would be possible to ride the pacuare river... The communication was really bad from the service provider, in the morning it was too late for us to book another tour, knowing that we were only in costa rica for 5 days, so we had no option. They should have informed us the day before and we would have changed the rafting trip for two days later when it was possible to ride the pacuare river Finally after discussing the owner called us excused himself and refunded us the difference 15 dollars times 2 and promised us that we will get the pictures taken during the rafting for free. We never got the pictures... This tour operator is not to recommand. They were not transparent with us. We booked a tour and in the morning they only told us that we cannot do the tour and that they will give us another tour. We would like to decide about our tours and not the tour operator. Finally he promised to give us the pictures and we didn't get them... Take another tour operator!!!
What an amazing day we had white water rafting down the Pacuare River. I booked this before we arrived to Costa Rica on Viator site. Great experience that I had. Everything was very organized. I received contact information before we arrived confirming our trip and time of hotel pick up. We were picked up on time and the day was amazing. Our guide Roberto was awesome. Included breakfast and lunch half way down the river. Our entire family just loved this excursion. Highly highly recommended.
Be prepared to get wet, to work hard and to have a lot of fun!!! this trip is amazing and truly for adrenaline junkies
