Stop At: Shiding Thousand Island Lake, Shiding District, New Taipei City, Taiwan 223
Located in the south of Shiding District., Thousand Island Lake, also known as Qiandao Lake in Chinese literally means a lake with thousands of islands. Shared the same name with the famous attraction in Zhejiang Province of Mainland China, the catchment area of Feitsui Reservoir surrounded by many hills creates a similar scenery specifically from a nearby overlook next to the reservoir.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Bagua Tea Garden, Shiding Dist., New Taipei Taiwan
The natural terrain and climate make the surrounding area of Feitsui Reservoir an ideal farmland for tea-growing, including the well-known Wanshan Pouchong and Dong Fang Mei Ren(aka Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea), where located the noted tea plantation Bagua Tea Garden. From the top of the hill, the neatly planted rows of tea look just like the symbols of Eight Trigrams.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Pinglin Tea Museum of New Taipei City, No.19-1, Shueisongcikeng, Pinglin Dist, New Taipei 23241 Taiwan
Located beside the Beishi River in Pinglin, New Taipei City, Pinglin Tea Museum presents the Chinese tea culture and is worth visiting for tea lovers. Pinglin Tea Museum has an abundant collection of materials on tea culture. Within the museum are theme exhibition areas and seasonal theme exhibitions. The exhibitions include physical aspects and cultural aspects, presenting all information concerning tea drinking in Taiwan. The museum is made up of the Exhibition Hall, Theme Hall, Multimedia Hall, Tea Art Hall and the Promotion Center. The Exhibition Hall has 3 exhibition areas: tea history, tea making and tea leaves, introducing how tea culture has developed in the Chinese history, rituals of tea making and commercial development of tea. We believe the visitors will have a better understanding of tea history after visiting the museum.
(the museum is closed on the first Monday of every month, therefore tea museum will be replaced by Pinglin Old Street on that day)
Duration: 30 minutes

Drive there and back was hair raising in very narrow roads on the mountain. Guide and commentary was good.
The trip is fine. Only when we view the thousand islands lake we are facing the Sun and the LAKE is hidden in HAZE! Time is a bit short for every spot. S.H. from Hong Kong
Our guide was great. We had one other person on the tour with us, so even though it was billed as a small group tour it was almost like a private tour. We were taken to areas of beautiful scenery, off the path for most tourists we didn't see ANY other non-Asians. We enjoyed the tea museum, and the tea tasting experience was fun. This was a reasonably priced tour, and we felt it was very much work it!
