Reúnase con el guía en el centro de Venecia, cerca de la plaza de San Marcos, y suba a bordo de un barco a motor para disfrutar de un recorrido de 2 horas por los canales. Mientras navega lejos del ajetreado centro de la ciudad, explorando los canales menos visitados, busque la Cattedral di San Pietro di Castello. Escuche cómo el tranquilo lugar de culto actuó como catedral principal de Venecia durante siglos antes de que la Basílica de San Marcos fuera "ascendida" de su humilde estado de capilla.
Pasee por los canales más silenciosos, viendo calles llenas de ropa tendida (una escena típica de Venecia) y atraviese las puertas de la ciudad Porta dell'Acqua hacia el impresionante Arsenale, el astillero histórico y depósito naval de Venecia. Construido al inicio del siglo XII, el Arsenale creció hasta convertirse en uno de los astilleros más grandes de Europa, que producía buques de guerra y mercantes a gran escala.
Relájese mientras navega por el antiguo astillero hacia el barrio de Cannaregio, donde se encuentran algunos de los canales con más encanto de la ciudad. Pasee por canales más tranquilos, donde verá románticos restaurantes y bares a los lados, y luego se dirigirá hacia la pintoresca zona conocida como el gueto judío. Podrá disfrutar de un descanso de unos 15 ó 20 minutos para pasear y hacer fotos de bonitas calles, y luego continuar en barco a lo largo de los canales de zonas estancadas de Santa Croce y Dorsoduro.
Pasará por uno de los talleres de góndolas de Dorsoduro para ver artesanos fabricando tradicionales góndolas venecianas, y después navegará por el famoso Gran Canal. Tenga su cámara lista para captar vistas de las mansiones e iglesias barrocas que salpican la concurrida franja de agua y admire la arteria principal por donde pasan las góndolas, el vaporetto (autobuses acuáticos) y los taxis acuáticos, que compiten por el espacio en el agua.
Navegará bajo el icónico Puente de Rialto y volverá al punto de partida cerca de la plaza de San Marcos, donde su crucero acaba.

Very enjoyable and informative. Excellent tour for start of visit. Gave a 4 only because taxi did not accommodate outdoor viewing for all guests at same time.

This was a wonderful tour. Christiana was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and the neighborhoods along the canal. We were able to see sites that you can't see on gondola rides. I also particularly enjoyed walking through the Jewish Ghetto and viewing the monuments. Christiana was very personable and professional.

Was looking forward to this tour and was very disappointed after finishing it. First of all the motor boat was too crowded - 8 passengers plus the guide. They put 4 of us in the back and 4 plus the guide in the front of the boat. It was a beautiful day and all the passengers in the back stood to enjoy the views. If you decided to sit outside you couldn't see anything around the people that were standing so you also had to stand. because 4 people were way too many and you couldn't move or even turn around to take pictures without pressing next to the people around you. The tour down the canal from the starting point was a waste of my precious time I had to enjoy Venice - not much to see other than St. Marks Square. Once the boat turned into the small canals the trip was very nice although as I said before, way too crowded. The stop at the Jewish Quarter was interesting but a little too long. Eventually the boat went into the Grand Canal but not far enough up the canal to enjoy all the Palaces, which is why you do the Canal. Personally I feel less time heading toward the Docks, and more time through the less traveled canals arriving at the Grand Canal farther up so tourists could see the best area of the canal. Of course there was plenty of room to sit inside the motor boat - naturally everyone wanted an outside view - especially to take pictures!! - Did not enjoy the trip due to the crowded boat.
