Our guide Giovanna was wonderful! She took us away from all the tourist traps and showed us some really neat little “out of the way” cafe’s. The food samplings as well as the wine was plentiful!! Lots of walking on this tour so wear your most comfortable shoes- and there really isn’t a chance to sit down. You are mostly standing throughout- but it’s so worth it! Giovanna is a native Venetian and absolutely delightful! She has so much knowledge!!! Many thanks to her for making this a memorable visit to Venice!!
Lydia was the best guide so full of local knowledge. We got an in depth understanding of local food and visited true Venetian locales.
This is the perfect tour if you are interested in exploring authentic food and drink from Venice! Our tour guide "Ludo from Lido" was fun and knowledgable. We learned so much about Venice and loved that we got to get away from the crowds. Not that St. Mark's Square isn't wonderful, this was just a nice change to get away from the super touristy stuff : ) Our family of 5 highly recommends this tour for the delicious food and drink and learning about Venice!
Camilla did a wonderful job! She was very clear, articulate, and informative. It was evident that she cared about our experience and about ensuring that we understood Venice, the people, and their amazing food. For the cherry on top, we were given an abundant amount and a wide variety of foods to try and wine to taste. We had a great time!
As we had never visited Venice and wanted to experience true Venetian food and wine took the tour. Highly recommended as learnt alot and tasted some great local food and wine, which we would have missed. Our guide Camilla was very friendly and informative.
Outstanding tour with our local guide Ludovica (Luda) who was born and raised in Venice. We saw the only really remaining residential area of Venice, and learned what the locals eat, to include some great Cicchetti and Wine! We highly recommend this tour, but do it early in your Venice stay, to try the places we went to, and avoid the more touristy places.
My son and I did this tour the first night we arrived in Venice. Our tour guide Claire (Chiara May be her given name) was upbeat and fun. LOTS of wine and appetizers, all delicious. Yes, there were a couple of seafood apps that might not appeal to all (cuttlefish and a cod spread) but she offered alternatives for those two. Her stories were great, lots of Venetian history. Would highly recommend!!
Our tour guide, Clair, was fabulous. She provided so much information about Venice that I did not expect to learn on this tour. It was really interesting to see the back alley spots that are off the beaten path and that would be nearly impossible to find! I had never heard of a Traghetto, so taking that across the canal was really fun surprise. The food and wine were good, but the tour itself was really the highlight!
Great taste of Venice along with an insider knowledge. Don’t miss this experience. Knows the locals and they know her.
Good pace, Francesca was a great guide! Loved all the food and wine - would definitely recommend doing this!
We were told by a friend to do the 5 bar tour and this is what we came across. It was great! Found out lots of interesting stuff about Venice and got to taste good food and wine
We had a wonderful time. Our guide,Bea, was very friendly and knowledgeable. If you like food and wine pairings, this is the tour for you! We had lots of dishes we had never tried before. Wines paired perfectly with the foods. Lots of wine. Loved that there were locals at all the bars. We felt like we were living the Italian life!
My guide, Beatrice led me to 6 bacaros, each of where offered a cicchetto and a glas of wine. She is well-known by every barcaro and knows very well what the best at this bacaro. During a tour she explained about Venetian history and current life, like she is a friend of mine since 10 years. A tour is real worth the price.
Wonderful guide and wonderful food. It gives you the opportunity to taste many different wines. Seafood salad was special!
The tour guide was great but she was the only positive part of the tour. Wine was terrible and my husband and I left completely starving. It was a 3 hour tour with nowhere to sit for even 2 min. Would not recommend if you are looking for any type of substantial food. I have a feeling most people give this a high review because they got overly drunk on an empty stomach. Eat before or after you go! The price of this tour is very high for how little you get as well.
