Victor made this trip easy, turn up at the office, meet the guide who walks us to the fast track area. Meeting the guide to getting into the Palace took 30 minutes. There were soooo many people there, worth the skip the line upgrade. The Palace has so much to explore, buildings and gardens are fantastic and the musical fountain show was beautiful.
The meeting point was easy to locate, we arrive early and they move us to the previous tour, our guide speak at least 3 languages, and efficiently bring us through the palace by the side door.we really skip the long line.and we explore the Chateau at our own.
Versailles is nice. It’s not the best attraction in Paris, yet nice. The skip the line tour is a must. The palace of Versailles can be very hot outside and in. Waiting in line to buy tickets would have been frustrating. Viator got us in the door then let us tour on our own. The inside of the palace is beautiful. The audio guides do not have earphones; I suggest bringing your own. It was a bit too crowded inside to really be able to enjoy and take good pictures in many parts of the palace. The gardens are very large and pretty. There is a general lack of bathrooms in the palace. Easy to get to Versailles on the train. Paris metro train station to Versailles is 35 minutes and it is a short walk to the palace. The sandwich place across from the Versailles train station is awesome.
The regular line is so long you will think about just going back. Skipping that line saved hours of time.
While the tickets help to move more quickly through the lines, getting us in was very disorganized. You have to go to their ticket agency first, which is a very far walk to the entrance, and then you wait quite a bit again. The audioguide is helpful, but is also available for free online as an app. Not sure it was worth it...
Loved this tour because it was a self paced tour and you could take your time and skip parts that might not interest you. It was a very cold day on May 5th and the fountains were not on in the gardens. I would have loved to experience that. The check in process for the guide was a little slow and cumbersome. Expect to get into Versailles 45 minutes to an hour after you meet your guide. The only other issue was the guys selling trinkets outside of the palace were a little aggressive and annoying. Beautiful place and only a half day tour. I would recommend.
Took us about 30 min with the skip the line pass, but without that might have been few hours, a lot on going. The palace was full , like always but worth the visit.
Palace of Versailles was a very interesting outing. The audio guide is very helpful, although for the first couple of paintings etc there was no English commentary, which was a bit frustrating. Also, on our ticket there was written that we needed to meet with the tour guide across the train station, which we did not read (our fault) and went straight to the Palace, if this could be written in caps or red font to catch someone's eye, would be helpful.
This was a great was to see Versailles! I knew I didn’t want a tour guide but did want skip the line access. The office was located right acrosss the street from Versailles rail station which was VERY EASY to get to from Central Paris. The tour guide, Cassandra was excellent! Very friendly and helpful. It was a great way to visit such an amazing place. The lines are incredibly long so skip the line it truly the way to go! No problems whatsoever from booking to voucher redemption to tour.
When I saw the lines outside of the palace I was so grateful that I had pre-booked this tour. The palace and gardens were very crowded but our guide got us inside very quickly. The palace and gardens were amazing...and we even got to see the fountain show. It was very easy to find the place for meeting our guide, Adrian, and getting our tickets. I would highly recommend this tour.
Tour guide was punctual. Cassandra was clear with her tour on our way to the palace. She also pointed us to where the toilets are before we kickstart our tour and helped us get our audio guide while we head for our toilet break. Very thoughtful as it saves us time! The Chateau ticket comes with the Fountain show ticket so I felt that it was really worth it. I mean... you wouldn't want to wait 3hours to get into an attraction right???
Excellent!!! I enjoyed my tour to the Palace. Amazing experience.
