The tour guide was very knowledgeable. i appreciated taking the bus through Vienna since it was towards the end of my trip and my legs hurt, but I would have liked to get out at a few stops and to look at the buildings and learn more about the area.
We did this tour on Monday. The guide on the coach was excellent in pointing out the interesting places along the route. The coach was very clean with a very good driver. The palace is a piece of art and it's gardens you can stay a whole day touring them. Well done to all.
Tour guide wasn’t the friendliest but knowledgeable...everything was on schedule...bus was comfortable.
Excellent trip - beautiful weather and stunning place. jenifer was the perfect host and vey knowledgeable and went at a good pace considering how busy the place was. Brilliant day.
Beautiful place, well worth a visit. Tour guide did very well speaking German and English. Easy meeting point
Schönbrunn was a disappointment. Just big rooms with some paintings, no furnishings. Over crowded, and if you didn’t stay right next to the guide, the mic pac would short out and crackle. Better to not go inside, the palace, but I would recommend walking the gardens, greenhouses and the zoo.
The palace was a disappointment. It may have been our guide. We use Viator exclusively to book our excursions and this one was disappointing. We saw less than 20 rooms of the palace and our guide was not friendly.
This is a drive around the ring road ending at the palace. The palace tour was good but rushed. Not really enough time to see all the garden. There are no buses in old town Vienna.
Though the tour was fairly informative and the guide was working hard, it was hampered by the large size. It was advertised as a maximum of 15 but it was more like 40-50 on the bus and about 20-25 in the palace, making it difficult to hear her among the crowds with the headsets often cutting out. On the bus, she was switching back and forth between English and German. Overall it was alright and we’re glad we went, just not a small group!
Bus ride to the Palace was the best. Our guides were good, but it was VERY hot and even tho we had "reservations" it was miserably crowded inside. No air conditioning. Skip the palace and walk around the gardens. They are the best part.
Though it was an English speaking tour, the guide had to speak both English and Deutsche. Hence the landmarks were passing us so fast, that it did not make any sense. The good had total disinterest on his passengers, left us with no time to visit the palace gardens, which is the highlight. Overall a total waste of hard earned 65 USD.
The meeting point was easy to find, and they were on time. You really skip the line, we got there, we didn't have to wait to get in. I will give five points for only this, because the rest was just one point. Once everybody gets on the bus, the sightseeing stars. This sightseeing means going around and hopefully you see was it is pointed out, if you are on the right side of the bus, you see only the buildings on the right, same with the left side, only the ones on the left. After the "sightseeing", we went to Schonbrunn. We skipped the line, and we were rushed from one room after another pushing every other person who was there, trying to listen to the guide, 39 rooms in half hour. After that, we had one hour free to spend in the gardens of gift shop, and back to the bus. We didn't take the bus back, it is an easy train ride from there, and we enjoy the gardens and the famous zoo. We took the Spanish tour hoping there were less people than the English one, and the number was half the size of the other one, but it was mixed languages, German and Spanish, and the guide didn't speak well in Spanish.
very knowledgeable guide - very interesting tour - worth going to to see this lovely palace and its grounds. there are several other places nearby to visit as well
The tour was very good and an efficient way to see a lot of the city. The tour guide was fine. Our tour had mostly Spanish speakers and some English speakers and she gave each talk in both languages. She seemed to warm up over the course of time and become more interesting and less rote. I thought the time at the Palace was just enough.
Skip the line and the bus ride were good but the guide was an utter disappointment and lacked interest in the tour
We loved seeing the palace and learning the history. Would highly recommend. It was definitely worth seeing.
We were greeted at the Opera House just was we exited the underground subway -- the best way to get around in the center city. Lots of helpful Viator people! Bus was 2 level with plenty of comfortable seating. Our guide spoke English with hardly any accent at all. Using the 'quiet boxes" is so great because we can all hear everything what is said. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it!
This tour was ok. Nothing spectacular but good enough. We had bad weather so that didn't help.Overall I think even if the weather was nice I would have given it an average rating.
The bus tour portion was difficult to hear and see what was discussed at the same time. The guide spoke in both English and German so it was difficult to focus. It was not a worthwhile tour and I did not get much out of it. The palace tour portion was nice because we skipped the line. The tour only lasted about 20 minutes in total as we moved from the different rooms. We were rushed through the rooms spending maybe 30 seconds in each room. The group was so large that you may not even be in the room when the guide is speaking about the room. There were no opportunities for questions. For example, we were in one room with four paintings, the guide discussed three of them. So what about the fourth? Moreover, this tour guide was not particularly friendly and really showed no interest in being the guide. This was demonstrated by her slow and sluggish walk with us up to the palace. By the end of the tour there was 30 minutes left to explore the palace grounds which are extensive!. And with a 10 minute walk back to the bus, you really couldn't do anything or see the grounds! So we just didn't get back on the bus and explored the grounds ourselves. I recommend interested folks to purchase a ticket early to skip the lines online, take the metro to get there, and use the audio guides that are already there. You will save money and probably have a much better experience. I do not recommend this tour.
