Its ok... tour guide Hollywood is great! Arlington tour is not connected to other tours, a wasted day unless you only want to spend the day touring the cemetery, all the stops are in the cemetery and none are not connected to any of the other stops in the mall. Also good luck trying to find a stop. The capital stop there is no sign, so just know to stand there, and the other stops the signs may be on a pole some where along the pin, within 100yards, there's do landmark references so you just have to look around until you notice a familiar sign. It's like finding needle in a haystack, app needs updating with details on were exactly the stops are located. Not just pins on a map, not really helpful if you're not a local. Water taxi can be purchased separately and provides greater options and better flexibility. But it's a nice add to see Alexandria which has a free trolley and nice shops and provides a change of scenery. It also connects you also back to the metro...
Nice way to see all of f the monuments at your own pace. The drivers were very knowledgeable and nice. The river taxi ride was very nice and relaxing.
Enjoyed the hop on hop off the guide was very informative about all the sights had a wonderful time in washington
The list of “pick up and drop off” stops is NOT accurate. The lady on the phone was incredibly rude and I asked to speak with a manager. He was of course unavailable but was supposed to call me back.... he never did. This is actually “Old Town Trolley Tours” which our hotel was a stop that was not listed! Would have saved a lot of time if we didn’t spend our morning walking to what was supposed to be a stop that actually is not (even though it’s listed on the sheet) The bus was incredibly busy and probably overbooked but it mostly did the job. Probably wouldn’t book this particular one again.
I highly recommend the hop on hop off trolly. We did it for two days to get around the city. The drivers/tour guides are highly knowledgeable about DC and it’s history. Arlington Cemetery was a somber tour, but it was our honor to visit and pay our respects. The changing of the guard ceremony was very nice. And I recommend the water taxi trip. It was a very nice relaxing time after the hustle and bustle of the city.
This tour was great! We left on a very nice charter bus and our tour guide Deon gave a lot of great information on the way to Mt. Vernon. On the way to Mt Vernon we stopped at George Washington’s church. We were given a lot of info and were able to tour the church and grounds. We even got to sit in George Washington’s booth in the church. When we reached Mt Vernon we had some time to look around before our tour of Washington’s house. It was amazing to see where our Founding Father lived and died. After the tour we had time to walk the grounds to see the beautiful views, Washington’s grave, and tour the museum of his life. We ate at the cafeteria because we wanted something simple and quick but would’ve loved to eat the restaurant. I felt the amount of time there was perfect. It’s so nice to be able to just park and get on the bus. We can enjoy the sites and get info about them without the hassle of driving through the traffic. Definitely recommend!!!
Fantastic way to travel around and taking in all the sites. Trolley drivers were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. No issues getting a seat at any time. Took the shuttle bus to Arlington, again, driver very informative, you could spend a lot of hours here so using the trolley service is ideal to cover the vast area in a shorter time. Guided tour gave insightful facts that you would never have known by just walking around by yourself. The major sites such as Washington Monument, Capitol Hill and Lincoln Memorial, etc, are further apart than you think! also with the heat! The trolley gets you around effortlessly and lets you find your bearings!
Took the two day Hop-on-Hop Off Trolley Guided Tour of Arlington very enjoyable. Both guides Yvette and Sunny very knowlegable about the Washington DC area. Would recomend the tour.
