Nature park Lonjsko polje e-bike tour with wine tasting

Around 8am we pick you up at your accommodation or any other desired location. We take a pleasant 1h ride to Kutina where we hop on our ebikes and start the tour that can take from 3-5h depending on your physical condition and readiness. 

We ride through vineyards reaching the highest peak that shows a great panoramic view of the area and the nature park. 

Here we rest in one of the local wineries for some wine and food testing to get that traditional taste and feel to this area's customs and tradition. You will learn a lot about wine making. The owner usually spears a few tips and trick ;) If you like the wine and food you can buy some and it will wait for you at the starting point. After here we enter the nature park where we have the chance to see the swampy lakes, race with the wild horses and see the stork nests that are characteristic for this area.

About the park:

The biggest complex of natural and preserved lowland riparian forests in Europe and even beyond are right here in the area of Lonjsko Polje Nature Park. They have an incalculable biological and landscape value. The power of the riparian woodlands can be seen in their having shaped the habitants and the landscapes, and in these forests some specific species adapted to flood conditions have developed. One of the species specific to these forest communities is the famed Slavonian Oak, which with its long-term quality is to this day a byword for excellence in European countries such as Italy and France.

Water and flooding are the main factors that dictate the development of the species and plant communities of the forest habitats. The lowland riparian woodlands cover almost 70% of the area of Lonjsko Polje Nature Park.
