Disappointing trip! Started well with prompt pick up joining a full coach but we arrived at the harbour to be pointed to our boat which already appeared to have its two decks packed with other clients- somehow we all squeezed on but many people had no where to sit for the 3 hour trip. We spent nearly 1 hr circling the harbour looking for turtles. We did spot three but their appearance was so brief it wasn't worth the effort. Then we set sail towards the island where the turtles nested. The island had many other boats loads already there as expected but they were smaller boats that had been able to get closer in to the beach so people could wade in with their bags. We had to swim in which was not possible for a lot of people as elderly or with small children. We couldn't carry any cameras, towels etc which was a disappointment. There was a thin strip of beach we could walk on as any area that had turtle eggs was enclosed behind ropes and all that showed where some sticks in the sand marking theses sites. There was a small boat/shop selling refreshments on the beach! Obviously we had no money on us as unable to carry anything ashore. After 30/40 minutes the boat set off again to see the caves. Due to choppy waters we were not able to swim in the sea again. I would definitely recommend using one of the smaller boats, which presumably would cost more, if you want to take any of the boat trips.
